We stand with , We often meet brilliant women who believe they cannot learn a new skill at 40 because someone told them “education has an age limit.” We talk to girls who think staying silent about abuse is loyalty because that’s what they were taught. We work in communities where dreaming beyond survival is treated like arrogance.

Abuse are not only hateful things we say but it is when we oppress dreams and deny women the opportunity or room to try and reach for what they want .

At Dorcas Women Empowerment Organization (DWE), we recognise that online violence is a barrier to women’s full participation in education, community life, advocacy, and personal growth. That’s why our programmes do more than teach skills: they build confidence, resilience, and collective power so that women can reclaim online spaces as safe, dignified, and empowering places.

Because every woman deserves dignity whether offline or on a screen.

Digital violence is real.
It looks like leaked images… controlling partners… threatening messages… fake pages… and strangers who weaponise a screen to silence a woman’s voice.

Unpacking 16 days of activism | 1 day to go 😊

“Violence is not always loud. Sometimes it whispers.
Sometimes it hides in ‘that’s just how things are’.
Today, we name it. We call it out. We refuse to normalize harm.”

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) isn’t only physical abuse.
It is emotional punishment, economic control, digital harassment, forced silence, and fear dressed as love.

At DWE, we believe that when a girl learns the words to describe her pain, she also learns the power to challenge it.
This Monday, we are unlearning harmful norms — together.

A skill doesn’t need a shop to change your life.
Just hair, talent, and one client willing to say “yes”.

We are not just advocating for SDG 5 .We are operationalizing it.One woman. One skill.
One transformed future at a time.

We believe SDG 5 is not just a global agenda — it is a responsibility because when we empower women, we are not doing them a favour.

We are activating an economic force that has been underestimated and underutilized for decades.

We believe in SDG 5 which stands for Gender Equality — not as a slogan, but as a life restored. Everyday , we meet brilliant women who were once told : “Your life has already been decided.”

We recognize that we can not talk of National development in a space where grassroots populations can not develop economically (Zimbabwe vision 2030) , socially ( SDG5) or politically in policy making .
