True to the spirit of continued engagement, the Ambassadors of ARIPO Member States, across their respective countries of accreditation, remain important partners in sustaining dialogue on intellectual property matters.

Today, Director General Bemanya Twebaze warmly welcomed Her Excellency CP Suzan S. Kaganda, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania 🇹🇿to Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 , to the ARIPO Secretariat.

This meeting provided a platform to discuss Tanzania’s specific priorities and explore areas of cooperation that can deliver value not only for Tanzania, but also for ARIPO Member States and the broader African continent.

50 years and counting, ARIPO reaffirms its commitment to facilitating strong regional cooperation built through meaningful stakeholder engagement at every level.

Here is an idea that turned into an interesting solution protecting both people and wildlife. 🦁

When lions and other nocturnal predators threatened his family’s cattle near Nairobi National Park, a young Kenyan 🇰🇪, Richard Turere, came up with an ingenious solution: Lion Lights. Kipikenya

The solar-powered system uses flashing LED lights that change sequence over time, creating the illusion that people are moving around with torches. The result? Predators are deterred from approaching livestock, helping communities protect their livelihoods while reducing human-wildlife conflict.
