CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF MOTHER PATRICK COSGRAVE | 1863–1900

Today, the Dominican Convent High School Harare community remembers and celebrates the life of our founder, Mother Patrick Cosgrave, O.S.D., on the anniversary of her passing.

Her vision, courage and commitment to education laid the foundations upon which our school was established in 1892. More than a century later, her legacy continues through generations of young women formed in faith, knowledge, service and the pursuit of truth.

Mother Patrick’s final resting place is at Pioneer Cemetery in Mbare, Harare, a lasting reminder of the remarkable life she dedicated to her mission and community.

As we remember her today, we honour the enduring legacy she entrusted to us and recommit ourselves to the values upon which Dominican Convent was founded.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
