NAD Music Academy is a part-time music studio providing rigorous one-on-one and group lessons for guitar, drums, piano, voice, marimba and Music Theory to students who wish to experience a nurturing musical environment conducive for higher learning. Led by the versatile musical couple, Addmore and Winnie Chokera, who have more than a decade’s experience in music teaching, WINAD Music Academy guarantees intensive tuition and enjoyable performance opportunities for both the young and old, beginners and advanced in both African and Western music. The Chokeras, as they are affectionately known, are ably complemented by passionate, experienced and highly qualified voluntary staff who are dedicated to the success of WINAD Music Trust and their students. Our Mission
At WINAD Music, our mission is to enable people throughout the world in general and Zimbabweans in particular to realise their full potential in music. We deliver on that commitment by using state-of-the-art equipment that is accessible to everyone of all ages. Over and above performing arts, at WINAD we encourage proficiency in sight-reading, Music Theory and Aural awareness in our lessons. In addition, all our students get the opportunity to experience the much valued and internationally recognised ABRSM Graded examinations which unlock doors to reputable institutions of higher learning the world over. Our versatility lies in our flexible and adaptable approach to teaching. We are cognisant of the fact that each student is unique and should be treated as such. We are not inhibited by a teaching strait-jacket- a one size fits all approach- as every student progresses at their own pace. At WINAD Music Academy, teaching music is a calling not a profession. We truly enjoy teaching and strive to keep our lessons relaxed, enjoyable and yet challenging. Motivation and Passion remain our operative bywords.
