On Friday the 24th of March 2017.Young ambassadors Forum hosted the Director of the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy ,former Ambassador accredited to Austria ,an outstanding man of honour none other than Mr V.A Chikanda .A protocol and Etiquette expert famous for his statement :What is humanity without diplomacy but a mere savage..."He led an exciting Convocation in which he encouraged the young diplomats not to look at themselves as young diplomats but future diplomats.It was an inspirational statement and indeed he urged the young ambassadors to conduct wide research ,have an open mind engage in diplomatic protocol and ettiquette courses to build their future.Below is a practical session of young diplomats being taught how to walk ,deportment as ladies and gentleman .We must highly appreciate such humility to accept YAF Uz invitation despite him being too qualified to seat and talk with young ambassadors .He offered to deliver a free 2hour lecture for young diplomats on etiquette,deportment and expected diplomatic code of conduct.Thank you Mr V.A Chikanda

The first meeting of Young Ambassadors Forum University of Zimbabwe recorded close to 40 members .The young diplomats were introduced to the objectives of the organisation which include to provide a platform to groom and nurture future diplomats through holding UN Model ,AU,SADC etc,Debates on International Relations,foreign policy and most importantly implementing sustainable development goals.The young (future diplomats) had the opportunity to set out their vision ,desires for the activities of the semester.Important to note is that 77percent of the World Population comprises of the youths and hence Sustainable development goals are a youth agenda.
Structures of young ambassadors forum were clearly spelt out.
Our Patron will be Dr Mqayi ,a lecturer in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies,While Ambassador E Muzingwani was nominated to be YAF Advisor ,The president of the Forum at UZ is His Excellency,Alex Gumbomberi , Ambasadress Lisa Mawuwa is the First Vice President ,Honourable Tatenda Gwaaumbuka is the Second Vice President ,Dionne Sibanda is the Secretary.We look forward to an exciting semester.We had the honour to host Mr Gilbert one founding member of YAF at MSU
