It allows civil society organizations to develop content for advocacy. Call for Expressions of Interest
The British Council is aiming to increase connections between the UK creative sectors and young creative professionals in Sub-Saharan Africa. As well as building connections, we aim to expand knowledge of contemporary African art in the UK with a view to increase work from Sub-Saharan Africa being seen and experienced by UK audiences.

With this in mind we are seeking expressions of interest from UK based arts organisations / curators / programmers working in any of the following art forms - Visual Arts, Literature, Music, Theatre, Dance, Architecture, Design, Fashion and Film to travel to Sub-Saharan Africa to connect with the local contemporary art sectors, and undertake their own professional research to be shared with a wider UK sector in their chosen field. The trips should take place between April 2019 and March 2020.

Research may take the form of meeting with potential artists and partners; finding out more about your chosen art forms’ ecosystem in a country or countries; gaining an understanding of art trends in Sub-Saharan Africa; meeting arts organisations and/or attending events and festivals with a view to programming or curating work in the UK.

The countries covered under the programme (in which the British Council operates) are: Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Description
AACE International is dedicated to advancing the study of cost engineering and cost management through the integrative process of total cost management as outlined in the AACE International TCM Framework. To promote this objective, AACE awards academic scholarships to full-time students pursuing a degree in engineering, construction management, business management, or similar directed to working in the construction or engineering profession. The cost engineering profession uses the process of total cost management to identify and define those areas of business in which the discipline of cost engineering and cost management principles may be applied to plan and control resources, assets, costs, profitability, and risk. The major elements of the cost engineering discipline include estimating, project/product controls, planning and scheduling, business sciences, and project/product management.

Requirements
Applicants may be citizens of any country, but they must apply for the correct Scholarship:

*International Scholarship: Enrolled full time in an accredited college or university outside of the United States or Canada. The country must not be sanctioned by the US Government.
*Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on the scale of 4.0=A, 3.0=B, 2.0=C, 1.0=D
*Must not be employed full-time as a cost professional.
*Must be enrolled full time in the upcoming fall semester at an accredited university and pursuing a related degree in engineering, construction management, building construction, business, or quantity surveying.
*Must be willing to adhere to the AACE International Canons of Ethics.
Chosen recipients will receive one single payment to the university or college they attend with a maximum limit of $2500.

Eligibility
Applicants must:

*Have completed one year of college, be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited university (See the scholarship application for accreditation criteria) for the fall term, and be pursuing a program in one of the following disciplines:
-Building Construction / Construction Management
-Business Administration

Scholarship Details
Student and Faculty Scholarships include:

Individual Registration for the three-day Celebration.
Hotel accommodations (arranged by AnitaB.org). Student Scholars will be assigned a roommate. Faculty Scholars will be assigned their own room.
Airfare booked and paid for by AnitaB.org Travel Consultant.
Travel stipend (if used wisely, stipend is expected to cover transportation costs to and from the airport, baggage fees, meals, and other travel incidentals).
We will provide the stipend when you pick up your badge at GHC. Scholars pay upfront for travel day meals and taxis/shuttles to the GHC venue.
Student Eligibility
You must be a full-time student enrolled in an accredited degree program at a college, university, or high school at the time of applying.

What are we looking for in a student scholar?

Student scholars are active in their community, including being involved with campus computing/STEM clubs and working toward the advancement of women in computing.
Student scholars have an understanding of how attending GHC will have an impact on them and any messages or key learnings they take back to share at their schools.
Faculty Eligibility
You must be teaching at an accredited college or university at the time of the conference. We do not award scholarships to High School teachers, as the conference does not provide programming for K-12.
You must teach in a degree program such as, but not limited to, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline such as electrical engineering, human-computer interaction, math, physics, or management information systems.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR MASTERCARD RUFORUM SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UNDERGRADUATE AND MASTERS – 2019

The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM), in partnership with Mastercard Foundation is implementing an eight year transformative project to meaningfully contribute to Africa’s growth and development. The aim of the partnership is to transform African agricultural universities and their graduates to better respond to developmental challenges through enhanced application of science, technology, business and innovation for rural agricultural transformation

Under this partnership, 110 undergraduate and 110 Masters Scholarships will be provided over a period of eight years. The scholarships target academically deserving yet economically disadvantaged, marginalized communities and those coming from conflict and post conflict areas of Africa. The scholarships are tenable at Egerton University in Kenya and Gulu University in Uganda. Students enrolled under this scholarship program will receive comprehensive scholarships, leadership development, life skills support, entrepreneurship training and mentorship and exposure to community engagement

For the academic year 2019, 50 Undergraduate and 20 Masters Scholarships will be made available, of which 70% will be for Kenya and Uganda nationals. Sixty percent (60%) and fifty percent (50%) of the scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate and masters’ female applicants, respectively. These scholarships are only tenable at Gulu University in Uganda and Egerton University in Kenya.

Application procedure

Applicants should obtain application forms for both the scholarships and admission from the university of choice. Applicants shall only apply to one university of choice. Application forms can also be downloaded by clicking following websites: RUFORUM; Gulu University and Egerton University . Applicants are encouraged to carefully study the application guidelines and provide all the required information and documents prior to submitting the application. The MILEAD Fellowship will be awarded to 25 outstanding young women who have exhibited leadership potential in their community, organization, and/or profession. Please note that this one year program is not a full-time fellowship.
