We are on the move and we gladly invite you to come aboard to take this journey with us! Rationale
The development of a school and its pupils can be achieved through sharing of experience, expertise and resources among the current students, former students, parents and professionals. It therefore calls for the establishment of platforms for

these groups or representatives of these group to meet. Over the years and currently we have platforms which involve all the mentioned groups except that of former students. Students are being directly involved in the school development through giving feedback to their parents who meet in general meetings, school prefects as leaders of students also contribute directly to this cause. There has been however no platform where former students have been given a chance to be directly involved in the school development. Former students are the best agents of school development as they have the experience of being students and now parents. This then calls for the former students to come together in the form of OSA and take part in school development. There might have been an OSA but its existence has never been felt. Please go through the following details carefully and tell us what you think.Together,you and me,can make a big difference.No mountain is too high for us to climb.Ngatimboedze tione patinogumira. Your contributions in this matter are anticipated and would greatly be appreciated. Vision Statement
The Mavuradonha High School Alumni Association (MHSAA) encompasses the principles of inclusion, transparency, excellence in all pursuits, building upon history and tradition, community pride, fun and fellowship for all members. Mission Statement
Our mission is to unite and provide foundational support to all past and current students, staff and administrators of Mavuradonha High School; to foster loyalty and interest inMavuradonha High School; and to provide grants for the general benefit of the school andscholarshipsforits students. The mission will be accomplished by establishing a non-profit organization, led by a board of officials elected from the general membership, and operating under a set of bylaws. To accomplish this mission events will be organized to bring alumni together, raise funds for alumni activities, and to develop and maintain communication links with all members.In this endeavor the Association shall keep track of all activities,achievements,latest whereabouts of all members and render advice to outgoing students about challenges of the material world. Goal

In order to measure success, the MHSAA may have to establish the following strategies:
Operational strategies – to start the organization
1. Select an initial board of officials to include President, Vice-president, Secretary,Treasurer, Activities Chair, Membership Chair, and Communications Chair.
2. Establish a set of bylaws, including a fee structure and membership eligibility.
3. Develop and begin utilizing a marketing program to recruit new members. This plan will include a communication system and news briefs and/or newsletter.
4. Establish a regular meeting schedule and location for steering committee.
5. Organize an alumni event for Homecoming, 2013
6. Develop and host a school website by January 2014.
7. Second OSA representative in the SDA and other school development committees. Long Term strategies – To be accomplished over the next two years
1. Establish a membership of 600 individuals by December 31, 2013.
2. Establish a scholarship fund and provide at least one scholarship by January, 2014.
3. Establish a venue for MHSAA to recognize academic, social, artistic, or other success at Mavuradonha High School.
4. Establish and distribute a newsletter with articles and information about upcoming MHSAA events.
5. Establish a point of contact for each class and refine their contact lists for ease of distributing information. Contributions. This is my first post on this platform after being seconded to be the President of the OSA. I have been working on this project and putting my ideas together. Very soon l will be contacting my team to start the ball rolling. To those who felt let down please dont despair. Even my close friend Rine was also in the dark of what l was up to. To start with can you supplyn me with the contact details of the current headmaster and the chairperson of the School Development Authority. I will personnally deliver this concept to them after that l will notify you of the next step.
