Access to quality basic education is a right for every child, whether from a developed country or from a country that is developing!! Unless there are individual adults who are ready to sacrifice one or two things and take a bold stand to ensure this right is realized, a majority of children will continue to be deprived of this fundamental right. Through EddWell Foundation, orphans and other most vulnerable children identified jointly between schools and school communities (School Management Committees) are accessing primary education, with full school fees paid and learning material provided. This is the case for the six children from Hama St Joseph’s Primary School in Chirumanzu District, Zimbabwe below who have been receiving support for some years. From left to right: Makomborero Nhambu (Grade 6); Clariet Musindo (Grade 5); Panashe Jere (Grade 3); Tinashe Takawira (Grade 5); Fungai Tazvivinga (Grade 5) and Washington Nyati (Grade 5). Beyond supporting education, the Foundation seeks to put the most vulnerable children at the centre of all critical services including health care, safe water, information, and other protection services, ensuring all children achieve their full potential. This is made possible through contributions from all individuals who know that positive change does not just happen on its own, but it is made to happen through combined efforts. You can also make a difference. One step at a time.

More baby steps taken in restoring smiles on children's faces!!! In addition to continuing with school fees payments for the orphans and vulnerable children and providing their learning material, learning material (pencils, pens, erasers, sharpeners, ....) was handed over to Hama St Joseph's Primary School and...now NO CHILD in the school will be sent back home for not having a PENCIL at least for the whole of year 2019!!!

Through EddWell Foundation, community members of Hama St Joseph's Primary School provided contributions of learning materials, ensuring that all learners will have access to at least a pencil, erasers, and sharpeners for the whole of year 2019. At EddWell Foundation, no contribution is considered too small and a platform for community members to contribute to the development of their own communities in a well-coordinated and fully transparent way is provided, allowing changes to be easily noted and verified.

Our wish -- expand our efforts to more schools.

“Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.” Bradley Whitford

As an organization, we take pride in reaching out to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged persons in society, helping them with the most basic needs that equip them to work towards their goals and help them establish a better future for themselves and their families. We believe in full empowerment, of both the body and the mind, starting from early years of life, knowing fully well what individual members who collectively make up our organization went through to get to their present levels of positive achievements. Support in equipping of the mind from early years of formal education is one of our top priorities!

The five habits of the heart:
1. An understanding that we are all in this together.
2. An appreciation of the value of “otherness.”
3. An ability to hold tension in life-giving ways.
4. A sense of personal voice and agency.
5. A capacity to create community.
