On Friday, our school came alive with colour, culture and celebration as we commemorated Africa Day under the theme: “Honouring and Sustaining Africa’s Indigenous Cultures.”
Learners proudly represented various African countries including Ghana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Ethiopia, Botswana, Mozambique, Nigeria, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, and Malawi through traditional attire, music, dance, drama, storytelling and cultural presentations.
The celebrations featured vibrant performances such as the Kete Dance of Ghana, Tswana dances from Botswana, Sesotho traditional dances from Lesotho, Kenyan music and dance, traditional Mbira music, marimba performances, choir presentations, folk stories, drama and instrumental ensembles all beautifully showcasing the richness and diversity of African heritage.
It was a meaningful day of unity, learning and cultural appreciation as we continue to inspire our learners to honour and preserve Africa’s indigenous cultures.
We would also like to wish all our parents, guardians, staff, learners and the entire community a joyful Africa Day celebration.
Happy Africa Day.

Yesterday, the SDG and Gardening Clubs embarked on an educational trip to Brookfields Nursery in Chisipiti.
During the visit, students explored the nursery’s three main departments: the vegetable seedling section, the flower-growing section, and the sales shop where products are marketed and sold.
Students were taken through the process of growing various vegetable seedlings, including black kale, lettuce, onions and tomatoes. In the flower section, they learned about different varieties such as hibiscus and bougainvillea, and discovered that flowers can be grown both from seeds and cuttings.
It was a fruitful and enriching trip filled with hands-on learning, discovery, and appreciation for sustainable gardening practices.
