Scenes from today's Holy Mass in honour of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, celebrated by our school community and led by Father Isaac Muzenda.
During the celebration, Father Isaac shared the history and significance of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, reminding us of God's immense love, mercy, and compassion for all.
A day of prayer, faith, and thanksgiving, topped off with a giant cake that disappeared much faster than it was cut!

Our school came alive with colour, energy, and pride as we celebrated Africa Day, even though the official day was yesterday. The day was filled with excitement from start to finish. Learners took part in fun activities that helped us learn more about Africaโs cultures, history, and unity. There was laughter, teamwork, and a strong sense of pride in being African. It was a memorable celebration that brought everyone together and made learning enjoyable.

Today we gathered for our Opening Mass led by Father Phiri SJ as we officially began the new school term.
In his homily, Father reflected on dreams, explaining how dreams can carry our anguish, wishes, ideas, emotions, and sensations, often coming to us involuntarily. He reminded us of Saint Paul, who was called to proclaim the Word of God despite facing many challenges. Through it all, God assured Paul not to be afraid and to continue preaching the Good News.
As we begin this term, we are encouraged by this message to remember that we are not alone. We are laying the foundation for our future, and although the journey comes with challenges, discipline, faith, and perseverance will guide us forward.
We also took this opportunity to bid farewell to Mr Chikwature, Ms Chiwoko, and Ms Chikurunhe. We thank them for their dedication and service to the Emerald Hill family and wish them Godโs blessings and success in their future endeavors.
We also warmly welcome all new learners and teachers to the Emerald Hill School for the Deaf family. We wish you a joyful, successful, and fulfilling journey with us.
