Rhythm & Tradition. β¨πΆ
The Marimba Bira Concert was a beautiful celebration of Zimbabwe's rich cultural heritage, bringing together HIS and 10 local schools through the universal language of music!
The concert was filled with incredible performances and a shared appreciation for the instrument that has carried stories, traditions, and communities through generations.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so memorable. The music may have ended, but the spirit of the marimba continues to resonate. π

Curiosity in action πΎβ¨
Our Grade 5 students took their learning beyond the classroom during a recent visit to Karimba Farm in Marondera.
Even after the PYP Exhibition, students continued taking action by exploring how farming practices and agricultural technology have evolved over time.
The hands-on experience gave students the opportunity to engage directly with modern farming tools while learning about sustainability, innovation and the important role agriculture plays in our communities.π±
At HIS, we believe learning becomes most impactful when students can connect inquiry to the real world and this field trip was a perfect example of that in action!

Student-led Conferences at HIS!π
Our youngest learners embraced challenge as storytellers of their own learning, guiding their parents through activities, achievements, and classroom experiences with remarkable enthusiasm.ππ½
From early reading milestones to creative projects and hands-on exploration, students confidently shared not just what they have learned, but how they are learning!
These moments reflected the growing independence and voice we nurture every day in our classrooms!
At HIS, we believe that empowering students from the earliest years builds the foundation for lifelong confidence and curiosity.
We are so proud of our little hogs!π
