The Book of Deuteronomy is a book of remembrance, some definitions would say "twice told" For repetition is an effective tool of teaching. The Children of Israel were about to enter into the promise land, they are at the brink of Canaan and Moses has only one statement which he had to emphasize on through this repetition and of cause that statement is "Yahwe is your God! and you must try to be through Obedience, his People". So the Journey which they took through the desert 40years and all the encounters are being brought back to view so that they consider Obeying God first in everything they will do.
Right now a spiritual Israel is facing the last Deuteronomy, when the Angel of Revelation 10 is saying "the time will be no longer" and we should consider the Journey or the path traveled by the present Israel and be obedient to God in everything. But who is Israel? is it the actual nation up there in the middle East, is it the whole world, is it the World wide Christian denomination or a specific body of people.
