Dawnridge Primary School

March 21st 2024, we got to visit the ZBC Headquarters in Harare and safe to say we had so much fun! The Trip was both educational and fun for our students. We believe that educational tours play a crucial role in enhancing students’ learning experiences and broadening their understanding of various subjects beyond the confines of the classroom.

This trip introduced our students to other careers they can explore in the future as there is so much that happens in the media industry ie sound engineering, content creators, media advisors, radio presenter, new anchors, marketing team, piracy monitoring, technicians, camera operators, videographers etc
The list is endless! Both students and teachers got to learn a lot of the behind the scenes and our children were even aired on live radio which was exciting for us! Truly a “pinch me moment”!!!!!

We would like to thank for allowing us to pay them a visit and mostly the parents for making this happen ❤️

Happy Holidays! Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend and Easter celebrations! Here are some of the First term of 2024 Highlights.

1st of March: We had our Interhouse competitions.

We had three houses competing:
House Ruvimbo (white)
House Rufaro (Red)
House Golden (Gold/yellow)

House Rufaro came first, Ruvimbo coming in Second and Golden taking the third place

It was honestly a good time seeing the Team spirit and endurance our children posses. You just had to be there! But for those who weren’t, we’ve got you covered! These are some of the pictures and videos from the event, enjoy :)

We attended the Chinese Bridge Competitions on 16 June. Out of the three of our who students participated: Maita Mawodzwa, Nicole Mugari and Munenyasha Danda; Munenyasha was the Second Prize Winner 🏆. To those who did not manage to win this time I say taking part is the most important part of any competition, 加油加油⛽.

孔院赛事|津巴布韦大学孔子学院举办“中华才艺秀”大赛 2023年5月12日，津巴布韦大学孔子学院（CIUZ）举办“中华才艺秀”大赛暨庆祝国际中文日活动。

On 12 May 2023, we were at Golden Peacock Hotel in Borrowdale for the 2nd edition of the Chinese Talent Show Competitions. Joel Tembo, Shammah Rambanepasi, Marvellous Mudzonga, Tawananyasha Mungazi and Maita Mawodzwa represented Dawnridge Primary School and wowed the audience with their performances. Maita Mawodzwa and Tawananyasha Mungazi won the first prize. We were so excited especially because it was our very first time to participate in the competitions. Well done girls for lifting the Dawnridge Primary School flag high. 恭喜恭喜，加油加油。
