The philosophy of LifeSkills Academy
is to provide students with the skills and knowledge they need in their chosen careers and to meet the needs of the industry and society. The philosophy is also to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and lifelong learning among students, faculty, and staff; based on the values of academic integrity, student-centeredness, diversity, collaboration, and community engagement.

WHO IS LIFESKILLS ACADEMY?
LifeSkills Academy is a Technical High School which offers a curriculum designed to teach high school students specific career technical courses, (through technical subjects devoted to a practical study, such as engineering, technology, design, business, or other workforce-related subject), before they pursue tertiary education. The technical courses under consideration are mainly in engineering, computer science, data science, math, statistics, chemistry, physical/biological sciences, etc. The academy teaches how to execute specific industrial trades. It provides specialized training in various subjects such as math, science, geography, and other foundational subjects. Students who attend the technical high school, in addition to a ZIMSEC and a HEXCO Certificate, they will also graduate with a Technical Self-Help High School Certificate/Diploma and are prepared for careers or further education in a particular area(s).
LifeSkills Technical high school has a teaching-learning scope similar to vocational training centres. Its main aim is to develop literacy, transversal, and citizenship skills globally by teaching courses based on an occupational skill set. Students pursue technical courses during their learning period at LifeSkills Technical High School or before they pursue their courses at Polytechnics and/or Universities.
The schools’ programs are designed for students who know what they want to do professionally and want to start working immediately after completing either their ‘O’ Level or ‘A’ Level studies. The programs of the school are crucial in adapting to future technology and play an important role in preparing students for the global workforce.
The school narrows its curriculum down to hands-on training in a particular profession.
The Academy offers an education system that prepares students for a specific trade or career. Following the completion of the course, graduates are awarded National Foundation Certificate(s), and in most cases students will be prepared for and undergo Trade Tests from Journeyman Class 4 to Class 1.
