ARTUZ POSITION ON SALARY INCREMENT.
The government of Zimbabwe continues to be insencere in its approach if the announcement about a 75 percent salary increment is genuine, this is the only employer who offers a salary raise in the media without consulting their workers or workers'representatives and continue acting in bad faith.Teachers are not looking for a raise but for a restoration of the 2018 salaries of usd 540 not an increment of a valueless currency that is unable to meet and cater for teachers livelihoods .The government is not only devaluing the dignity of teachers but is further degrading their standard of living without any hope for change within this prevailing environment.The only solution in response to this insult from our employers is to take our issues direct to their offices,ARTUZ is unapologetic and unyielding and we wont allow teaching profession to be disrespected in such a manner . Teachers are not slaves and hence there is no need to pay them slave wages,we are incapacitated and we stand by the resolve that no pay no work. OUR EDUCATION ZW.
