Thriving as a coach in Zimbabwe while the average person is focused on survival—bread and butter issues like rent, fuel, and school fees—requires shifting from "luxury" coaching to "survival, resilience, and income-generation" coaching. In this economic environment, coaching must be positioned as a tool for economic empowerment and mental stamina rather than just personal growth.

What are the Universities Coaching and Mentoring Annual Awards?
These are annual awards hosted by the International Coaching and Mentoring Foundation in a selected university or academic institution - where there is a coaching and mentoring club under ICMF.
These awards celebrate excellence and leadership in coaching, mentoring and beyond among students in Zimbabwean universities. Last year the annual awards took place at Midlands State University in Gweru where Better Life Foundation (a coaching and mentoring club) had the privilege of organising and planning for the event. The same organisation, ICMF also hosts the prestigious International Coaching and Mentoring Annual Awards (ICMAA) every year - the awards celebrate coaches, mentors, and institutions that have made an impact across various categories, including leadership, business, youth, relationship, health and wellness, financial coaching, team building, public speaking, just to mention a few.
The International Coaching & Mentoring Foundation (ICMF) is a global organization, with a strong presence in Zimbabwe with chapters in India, Malawi, South Africa and beyond, dedicated to promoting high standards of practice and professional development in coaching and mentoring. This year's 3rd edition is being hosted by NUST Coaching and Mentoring Club which is at the National University of Science and Technology.
