Rhinos land in South Africa for FISU Games

THE ZEGU Senior Rugby team is set to participate at the 2026 International Universities Sports Federation (FISU) games from the 4th - 6th September 2026, in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

The Rhinos, as the ZEGU rugby team is affectionately known by it's multitude of supporters from across the globe, are hoping to go one step further compared to the prior year, in Kenya, where the team scooped the silver medal which earned them respect from the rugby world.

Go for Gold Rhinos.

Feature {1}: Anotida Clinton Nyabadza

Anotida Clinton Nyabadza is a Level 5.2 Bachelor of Laws (LLB) student and the current President of the ZEGU Students Executive Council (SEC). He previously served as SEC President from 2023 to 2024, demonstrating exceptional leadership, commitment, and dedication to advancing the interests and welfare of the student body.

As President, Anotida has played a pivotal role in fostering constructive engagement between students and the University administration, championing initiatives aimed at improving student welfare, promoting academic excellence, and strengthening institutional development. His leadership experience has equipped him with strong skills in governance, strategic planning, communication, and conflict resolution.

Driven by a passion for the legal profession and public service, Anotida possesses a keen interest in constitutional law, human rights, and leadership. He is committed to upholding integrity, accountability, and professionalism in all his endeavors, while inspiring positive change within the university community.

Career Objective
To utilise his legal education and leadership experience to contribute meaningfully to the legal profession and society, while promoting justice, ethical leadership, and sustainable development.

Leadership Milestones
Major Milestone: Transformative Two-Term Presidency of the Student Representative Council.

1. Institutional Leadership & Governance
Milestone: Elected President of the SRC twice, providing consistent and visionary leadership.
Impact: Became the longest-serving President in recent years and the face of student advocacy to University management.

2. Student Welfare and Development Programmes
Milestone: Conceptualised and successfully hosted a plethora of student-centered events including the ZEGU Health Expo.
