Alumni Spotlight: Lizzie Wilson | Class of 2020
From being a Trident student to inspiring the next generation.
After graduating from Trident, Lizzie earned a first-class BA (Hons) in Primary Education from London Metropolitan University. She is now training as a teacher through the prestigious Teach First programme, supporting schools serving disadvantaged communities across the UK.
Lizzie credits Trident's coursework-based Cambridge A Levels with helping her discover her strengths. Building on that foundation, she chose a coursework-based university degree, graduated top of her cohort, achieved 81% on her dissertation, and secured her place on Teach First.
She also credits Miss Cavanagh, Mrs. Dunlop, and Miss Kaliba for believing in her potential and inspiring her to pursue a career in education.
Lizzie reflects:
"There is no doubt that Trident shaped me into the person I am today. Growing up there taught me resilience, determination and ambition. The caring nature of the teachers at Trident inspired me to enter the profession myself. The holistic nature of the school and involvement in academics, the arts, leadership, sport and community gave me the flexibility, adaptability and growth mindset that have allowed me to flourish at university and now in my career."
Her advice to today's Trident students:
"Enjoy every minute. Take every opportunity. You'll miss it when you're gone."
Once a Tridentian, always a Tridentian.
