ZAMBIA HAS LOST A TRUE STATESMAN- ZACOSU

11th March 2022

we are saddened by the demise of the fourth Republican President H.E President RUPIAH B. BANDA.

As a students mother body we forever remain grateful to the policy, infrastructure and Political will exhibited by the former President towards the advancement of higher education in Zambia.

I wish to convey my sincere heartfelt condolences to the Banda family on behalf of all students in Zambia.

DEATH NOTICE

We regret to announce the untimely death of Mr Joseph A Mtonga Jr. Whose life was claimed among 2 others in the recent road fatal accident.

Mr Mtonga was the first ever Director of academics and the first Copperbelt students commissioner for ZACOSU. He introduced ZIPSIP to ZACOSU and many institutions on the Copperbelt and represented the institution to the best of his leadership knowledge.

What a loss to ZACOSU, his family and the Nation.

ZACOSU President Hon Peter Bwalya has since conveyed his deepest condolences to Mr Mtonga’s Family on behalf of ZACOSU

UNILUS DECIDES

The name Tapiwa Lukuta has been entered in the books of record as she becomes the First ever Female Students Union President in the just ended Unilussu Elections.

Ms Lukuta was declared president after getting a whooping 802 votes. Seconded by Prince Joseph Simtumbaeto with 441, Taonga Mutambo 77 and Swaba with 175 votes respectively.

Zambia Association of colleges students Union sends its heartfelt congratulations to Ms Tapiwa Lukuta a Medical students.

STUDENTS NATIONAL PRESIDENT HAPPY WITH THE WORKS OF INTERCITY PF BRANCH IN HELPING STUDENTS.

Zambia association of colleges students Union National President , Peter Bwalya has hailed republican President through the PF intercity Branch for always being at hand in helping struggling students with transport.

Mr Peter Bwalya Promulgated that, Students come from different back grounds and most of them from financially struggling families that even fail to raise bus fare to go back home once the term or semester has ended. The intercity PF branch has been very instrumental in assisting such students regardless of their Political belonging.

As a students mother body we wish to express our profound gratitude to the PF intercity Branch led by Mr Francis Muchemwa for their continued assistance in aiding our students movements.

ZACOSU MOURNS

Zacosu is saddened by the untimely death of Ms Thandiwe Njovu a student at Levy Mwanawasa University, who is believed to have perished with Zambian’s song bird Daev Zambia and two others.

As a students Mother body, we have lost a dedicated Professional who had great potential to contribute immensely to the health Profession in Zambia.

Zacosu sends its deepest heartfelt condolences to the Njovu Family and to students and management at Levy Mwanawasa University.
