It's been a while since I posted anything. I've had a whirlwind last year of travelling all over the world which has been an amazing experience.
I'd like to share a little something below:
In January, I (and other professional trainer's from around Africa) were invited to facilitate some Jolly Phonics Training in Case Town, South Africa. The Western Cape government have rolled out Jolly Phonics in their government schools, and so I had a group of about 50 teachers I trained for 2 days. It was an awesome experience interacting with them, sharing experiences and of course, my love for Jolly Phonics! If you or your school would like some training in Jolly Phonics, don't hesitate to contact me by sending a message through my inbox, or emailing: [email protected] and I will get back to you!
Enjoy some of the pics below.

I love this! Books are now losing popularity, and people are favouring electronic gadgets to access reading resources. This just reminds us of the value of actual books.
love it! :)

I've had a pretty interesting week. I've been in the UK visiting some schools and had a great meeting at Jolly Learning Ltd! Thankful to staffer Cara, and Mr Chris Jolly himself for the warm welcome. It was great to hear about all the great outcomes from Jolly Phonics initiatives around the world.

I saw this, and would like to emphasise the importance of reading to children!

Since January 2018, I've been involved in in Jolly Phonics pilot projects in both government and community schools in Ndola and Lusaka (22 schools in total). Through the organisation I work for, I've been training and mentoring teachers in the Jolly Phonics scheme and methodologies. It's been an amazing journey and very satisfying to see how children's reading and writing has improved. We recently had the Copperbelt Province PEO and Ndola DESO visit one of the pilot schools in Ndola. They were happy with the progress of the children.
Come on board and join me in the wonderful world of Jolly Phonics!

Did you know?
Jolly Phonics is a synthetic phonics scheme that teaches children the alphabetic code of English. In the first nine weeks or so, the children are taught the 42 letter sounds, how to blend them to read words, and how to cope with the first few irregular keywords.
At this point the children can attempt to read books for themselves. There are five main elements to the teaching:
1. Learning the Letter Sounds
2. Learning Letter Formation
3. Blending (for Reading)
4. Identifying Sounds in Words (for Writing/ Spelling)
5. Tricky Words
