Northern Technical College - Nortec is receiving applications for the 2026 August Intake are now Open, Distance and Flexible Learning (ODFL) programmes.

The following programmes are available:
✅ Diploma in Automotive Engineering
✅ Diploma in Automotive Electrical & Electronics
✅Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
✅ Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology
✅ Diploma in Instrumentation
✅ Diploma in Heavy Equipment Engineering
✅ Advanced Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineering

Entry Requirements are:
✅ Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 Credits (including Mathematics and Science)
✅Relevant Craft/Advanced Certificate (where applicable)
Minimum 2 years work experience

Application Fee: K200

Accommodation within the campus is available (optional)

MEET YOUR STUDENT UNION VICE PRESIDENT – OWEN LEWILA

Owen Lewila is a second-year Heavy Equipment Engineering student currently serving as the Student Union Vice President.

Driven by a passion for student leadership and service, Owen is committed to creating a better learning environment where every student's voice is heard. He believes that leadership is about serving others with integrity, accountability, humility, and a genuine commitment to improving student welfare.

As Vice President, his priorities include strengthening communication between students and college management, improving student welfare, promoting student development programmes, and ensuring that students' concerns are represented effectively. He is also passionate about addressing challenges affecting students, including accommodation, academic support, access to information, and creating more opportunities for student engagement.

Owen balances his leadership responsibilities with his academic studies through discipline, effective time management, and careful planning. Outside the classroom, he enjoys learning more about engineering, participating in community activities, listening to music, and engaging in discussions that promote personal growth and development.

His vision is to leave a legacy of unity, accountability, student empowerment, and stronger cooperation between students and college management.

"Leadership is about service, not status." a principle that continues to guide Owen as he serves the NSU community.
