Lighthouse Christian School

Lighthouse Christian School Welcome to the Lighthouse Christian School page. Keep up to date with the latest news & content. The school is located in the Northrise area of Ndola.

Lighthouse Christian School was established in January, 2005, by Wilbroad and Zicky Chanda. While Zicky and Wilbroad were in the US, they would read stories about the underprivileged, orphaned, and vulnerable children back home in Zambia, which then reignited their passion for these children. The founders of Lighthouse Christian School decided that when they got back to Zambia, they would start a school that will care for vulnerable children and orphans. In 2003, they began working towards that and Lighthouse was then established in January 2005. There are some Lighthouse students who are not orphans. Their parents are able to pay for the school fees. Accordingly, Lighthouse doesn't want to be known as an orphanage, or a school for orphans and the underprivileged. The school wants to give those children the same quality education and equal opportunities that the others have. Lighthouse offers Kindergarten & Grades 1-7. Scholarships/sponsorships are available too. Since expanding all the way up to Grade 7, all previous Grade 7 classes have produced a 100% pass rate at the National Composite Examination.

Today we celebrate and honor Dr. Kenneth Kaunda and his legacy. Not only was he Zambia's First President, but also a freedom fighter for several countries across Africa. May we continue to practice the many aspects that he instilled in us, but most especially that of ONE ZAMBIA, ONE NATION.
