I'm surrounded by beautiful and intelligent young people in my neighborhood. I love it when they ask me, "Uncle Raymont what grade are you?" Such questions come because they always observe that I'm still schooling. Mostly, before I explain the actual truth to such a question I smile for a little while and laugh a bit because at the University we don't count such in grades but Years, Semesters or Terms of which I doubt if they fully understand that.

But what mostly get me moved, is the feeling and the wish I always prioritize that they should also get that privilege of attaining education as higher as they can go in their life.

That's a foundation โœ๐Ÿพ

They are my good friends.
I Love them. They love me โค๏ธ

SCHOOL- ACADEMIC ORIENTATIONS
___________________________________
A year and some months ago(2022), i was accorded such a beautiful privilege at my school The Copperbelt University to share my knowledge and skills I had acquired by then(I was in my 3rd year of study) pertaining to my profession and the program of study . This was during the First Year students Orientation program that was designed to get freshmen oriented about programs that are offered at school before they would go for their final quarter application in their various programs of study of their choice.

My job was simple and easy in such a way that all what i had was to share about ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH enlightening my colleagues about the program. Some aspects of the Profession such as;
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพWhat's Environment Health?
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพAdvantages and Disadvantages of studying Environmental Health
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพThe area of application or work once you are trained as an Environmental Health Officer or practitioner.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพThe challenges Environmental Health students or Officers are facing at school or perhaps in the industry.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพHow marketable is the profession in the industry.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพWhat one who is aiming to Studying Environmental Health is expected to do or behave in the preparation for the training.

Through this privilege, i got to realize that Academic orientations for students are of great significance in the academic journey as that helps students become familiar with the university, its faculty and how the system operates. Most importantly, Academic orientations helps students understand the academic programs, the path, the curriculum and opportunities that are in line with their academic journey as they grow and develop their career. Additionally, orientations are eye openers that enable students to fully understand what they do, which direction they are going and for what reason in that career or profession.

Schools ought to normalize orientating students and impact them with understanding of the programs they wish to study. Such is good for career development and producing students who will be productive for personal growth and the country's economic development as well.

SELF AWARENESS AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

___________________________________
Of late, I have been inactive and physically not available for so many things around me. It has been a few hectic months, so much trouble I had to overcome and I'm glad things just keep on getting better day by day through the flow of the rhythm and life goes on. I have inevitably stayed indoors for a little while due to circumstances and that school we closed for a break, mostly online works and tasks too that got me confined and to have no chance to ward the situation off. The situation that got my positive emotions towards the outside natural world disturbed.

It's highly prominent to be capable of knowing yourself and quickly assess and reflect your current mood you are in or the current state of your mind and how that affects you. This will highly determine how positive or negative you will respond to life at that particular moment. Your state of your being or mind will determine your attitude and how productive you will be for your own growth and development.

The failure to know who you are and how to pick yourself back up again once you are down worn out has seen many people to give up on life and subsequently to even find themselves in a persistent feeling of worry, despair, hopelessness and worthlessness (depression), conditions that might further birth to a complex mental health problem.
Being a living being is never a simple task because it's like we are here to solve problems and by doing that it's the only way we forge ahead.

Self awareness increases your ability to adapt and acclimatize with whatever situation life can throw at you. The way to stay strong you must know your weaknesses. Be able to figure out what works for you for your own survival, growth and development.

May God Bless ๐Ÿ’™
