University of Barotseland

The dream of establishing a(n) university in Barotseland (roughly translated as Western Provinceb of Zambia) has been festering for a long time. During the course of 2011, a number of critical steps have been taken. First, a letter was written to the Ministry of Education, Lusaka. An answer was received accepting the proposal in principle. The matter was referred to the Province, which has also given its in-principle support for the initiative. However, there are a number of conditions which need to be complied with before operations can commence.
Subsequently, the university has been registered - Registration No. 183151. For now, that's all we needed from the official side. The rest is for us to work on the conditions that need to be met before operations can start: (a) open an account; (b) fund-raise, (c) build, etc.

Land has already been donated by the community where the university will be located - Sifula/Namushakende area along the Mungu-Sinanga Road.
