At Ndubaluba, every student who walks through our gates is known and not regarded as another number.
Starting in 2026 we have begun to measure the impact our programmes and instructors make in participants after their time at Ndubaluba .
We measure whether faith grew, whether resilience deepened, whether a young person leaves more hopeful than when they arrived.
At the end of every programme our students tell us — in their own words — whether their time here made a real difference in their life.
That's what we're here for. Not adventure for its own sake, but adventure that forms character, builds faith, and changes lives — intentionally, measurably, and by the grace of God.
Here’s a glance at what those who have been to Ndubs have reported.
We're closed for the April holidays and taking the time to rest, reflect, and prepare. We reopen on 4th May and can't wait to welcome the Term 2 groups who will walk through our gates with everything ahead of them.
If you're a school looking for a venue that is not just about numbers but cares about making an impact and has evidence to support it, we'd love to hear from you.

What a way to end the term with our last camp with the Upper 6 students from Chengelo School on their farewell camp at Ndubaluba! The Chariots of Fire camp was full of adventure, fun, and reflection.
The U6s revisited special places that shaped their Chengelo journey—the school grounds, dam, swimming pool, the Cross, and the beautiful Ndubaluba forest. They were reminded of Eric Liddell’s inspiring story, encouraging them to live with purpose and stand firm in their beliefs.
It was a time of laughter, challenges, and deep questions about who they are living their lives for. As they step into their final year at Chengelo, we wish them joy, growth, and courage for the future. Thank you for letting us be part of your journey!

"Stand Up." — The Last Camp.
Last week the second group of Form 5 students from Chengelo School came to Ndubaluba for what, for most of them, is their final extended programme with us.
For many, it's the end of five years of Ndubs — from wide-eyed Form 1s on their first hike to young adults who arrived last week carrying something we've watched grow in them year by year.
We called this camp "Stand Up." — built around Philippians 2:5-8 and the model of a leader who doesn't climb for status but descends to serve.
Over five days, 37 students explored their own character honestly. They conquered the high ropes and Jacob’s ladder. They burned letters at the cross. They challenged each other on kayaks. They sat in silence before God in the bush. They held stones in one hand for their strengths and feathers in the other for their weaknesses, and offered both to God. The raced against others in the Quest of Stone challenge. They wrote letters to their future selves.
At the end of the week, students completing our impact survey said Ndubaluba helped them trust God more in real life situations, encouraged them to think about how faith shapes their choices, and made a positive difference in their lives — all scoring the full 5 out of 5. The faith impact cluster scored 4.95 out of 5.
That's not a statistic. That's young people on an Ndubaluba programme, genuinely encountering God, and knowing it.
To the Form 5 class of Chengelo 2026 — the character formed here goes with you. Into your friendships, your decisions, your leadership, your faith.
You are called. You are sent. Stand up.
"Have the same mindset as Christ Jesus." — Philippians 2:5

We're serious about the impact our programmes make at Ndubaluba.
Not only do we collect feedback, we also measure the real difference our programmes make in participants' lives.
Term 1 2026 results were excellent:
Overall feedback: 4.58/5 (from 594 participants)
Instructor rating: 4.97/5
Would return: 4.93/5
Spiritual formation: 4.58/5
Participants also reported strong growth in resilience (4.55), teamwork (4.39), and applying what they learned to real life (4.38).
We take impact seriously here.
We don't just run outdoor programmes or try to push as many groups through as possible — we create lasting change through adventure, challenge, and faith-based learning.
The data proves it.
Schools, if you're looking for a programme that builds real resilience, teamwork, and life skills for today's world, plus a faith that actually connects to daily life, and you want clear value that stakeholders can see, Ndubaluba is worth considering.
What kind of growth are you hoping to see in your students this year?

What an amazing time we had with the Form 5 students from Chengelo School during their Character in Leadership camp!
We laughed, learned, and took a deep look at how our character shapes our lives and leadership. We explored the character of Christ and the impact He made in the world.
The students valued the chance to reflect on who they are and how God sees them. It was such a blessing to witness many of them learning more about God and even recommitting their lives to Him.
Seeing young people transformed as they encounter God on our camps is a privilege. We are grateful to be part of what He is doing in their lives.
We look forward to watching these students grow as leaders in their final year at Chengelo and beyond.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this camp possible!

Yesterday we had an amazing Rumdoodle Adventure Race for Chengelo School Grade 5, 6, and 7.
Students pushed their limits- it was a thrilling mix of wall climbing, obstacle courses, puzzle-solving, swimming challenges and orienteering around Chengelo School.
This wasn’t just a race… it was an epic test of courage, teamwork, and resilience.
A huge shoutout to our amazing and brave adventurers who gave it their all – you inspired us with your energy, determination, and spirit!

The Rhodes Park Girl Guides took over Ndubaluba Outdoor Centre for a journey of self-discovery!
From conquering the heights of the Eagle’s Nest to navigating the waters in kayaks, these girls (ages 7–13) proved that age is just a number when it comes to resilience. Whether they were sprinting through the Medic Race or solving complex initiatives, the focus remained the same: building personal leadership and unbreakable teamwork.
Watching them push past their comfort zones was the highlight of the camp.

Another opportunity to give back to the community.
This past Wednesday, a Day Camp with Ndubaluba Community School was full of adventure! Students enjoyed fun moments on the tower, assault course, climbing wall, and kayaking. Kayaking and vision board making were the two highlights for many of the students.
In the afternoon, with the beautiful sound of rain falling outside, the students continued the adventure with engaging indoor activities.
The theme of the camp was “Dependence on Christ” from Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Through every activity, students were reminded that with Christ’s strength, they can overcome challenges and reach new heights. Adventure Never End!

What an amazing adventure with Chengelo School students!
Most people don’t know Zambia has beautiful beaches, even though it’s landlocked. We got to see them on our Lake Tanganyika journey as part of the The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award-Zambia Gold Award — and it was unforgettable.
1600 km of driving
60 km of paddling
14 km of hiking
We paddled on Lake Tanganyika, the longest lake in the world and the second deepest. We hiked to Kalambo Falls, Africa’s second highest waterfall. The views were breathtaking — a true bucket list experience!
Well done to the students for showing resilience, teamwork, and the spirit of adventure. Even in the heat and distance, you kept going and inspired us all. Wishing you the best as you continue your Gold Award journey.
A big thank you to Isanga Bay staff, OM Lake Tanganyika staff, and Luke’s Beach staff for their support — you made this adventure even better.

Giving back to the community:-
We wrapped up February with an incredible three days camp with Kapanda School under the theme Living in the Righteousness of God. It was such a joy to see students stepping out of their comfort zone- doing most of the activities for the first time. Conquering their fears whether Climbing, the assault course or kayaking at Ndubs Dam.
For many, kayaking was the highlight! With the water calm and birds busily building their nests, the dam became a breathtaking backdrop for games and laughter on the water.
Beyond the adventure, the camp was a time of deep encouragement and spiritual growth. Students were strengthened in their faith, reminded of God’s righteousness, and inspired to carry that courage into their everyday lives.
For most this experience was a first!
