A LEADER WHO IS A BUSINESSMAN TURNS OUT A THIEF - KAGAME

…African leaders are corrupt because they mix leadership and business

ADDRESSING his cabinet last week, Rwanda President Paul Kagame told his ministers not to take leadership with a simple approach. Kagame advised his ministers that they should not be in conflict with policies of government because they have a business interest.

The Rwandan President said leadership and business are not compatible. He warned that he will not entertain anyone who is serving the people and has business interest in policies.

“If you want to be a leader, be just that. If you want to be a President or a minister or anything in leadership, avoid business. Mainly failure to make this decision on principle has made a lot of people become corrupt. If you are a leader somewhere and you have businesses as well, when times comes to pass policies that affect your business while benefit the public, which side will you be on as part of the decision makers? I strongly warn that you should not be caught in this web.” Kagame said.

And Kagame also revealed that many African leaders are caught in the corruption web because they are businessmen yet they are leaders. He said such people are not different from vultures because they make policies and take decisions that benefit their businesses only.

2022 TEACHER RECRUITMENT

The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) will verify results for candidates that are applying for the 2022 Teacher Recruitment at a subsidised rate of Ten Kwacha (K10) per Applicant. This is in recognition of the fact that most applicants have been out of employment for long periods and may therefore have difficulties meeting the normal Verification Fee of One Hundred Kwacha (K100) per copy. Applicants are therefore required to Pay the Non- Refundable Fee of Ten Kwacha (K10) and attach the evidence of payment to the Application before they submit to ZAMPOST Offices.

To make payment, applicants must use the following procedure on their mobile phone, which provides options for Zamtel Kwacha, MTN Money and Airtel Money:

1. ZAMTEL KWACHA
You need a cell phone or tablet with a ZAMTEL Kwacha registered sim card
(i) Dial *115 #
(ii) Select (option 6) Merchant Payment
(iii) Select (option 3) Examinations Council of Zambia
(iv) Enter Applicant’s NRC (e.g 123456/11/1)
(v) Enter Amount - 10
(vi) Enter Pin
(vii) Print the message and attach it to the Application Form

2. ATLAS MARA SCHOOLPAY
a. MTN Mobile Network
You need a cell phone or tablet with an MTN Money
registered sim card.
(i) Dial *305 #
(ii) Select (option 2) Pay ECZ
(iii) Select (option 2) Results Verification Fee
(iv) Enter Applicant’s NRC (e.g 123456/11/1)
(v) Confirm to proceed
(vi) Enter MTN Mobile Money PIN

b. AIRTEL Mobile Network
You need a cell phone or tablet with an Airtel Money
registered sim card.
(i) Dial *115 #
(ii) Select (option 4) Make Payment
(iii) Select (option 7) School Fees
(iv) Select (option 1) School Pay (From School Pay)
You will get a message to access Schoolpay
“Redirection to Schoolpay”
(v) Select (option 2) Pay ECZ
(vi) Select (option 2) Results Verification Fee
(vii) Enter Applicant’s NRC (e.g. 123456/11/1)
(viii) Confirm payment details
(ix) Authorise transaction with mobile money Pin

For proof of payment on options 2 (a) and 2 (b), either print the message or download the receipt via the portal as outlined below:
i. Visit https://schoolpay.co.zm
ii. Select Pay ECZ
iii. Select Get Receipt
iv. Select Results Verification Fee from dropdown menu
v. Enter NRC as reference
vi. Download

Applicants do not need to submit verified results, however attach evidence of payment of Ten Kwacha (K10) verification fee to the STA FORM1.
Leave the space for the ECZ CODE on the STA FORM1 blank.
