The University of Lusaka is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of lecturers in School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The candidates should be highly motivated and passionate about making a mark in the education sector in the following fields:

FULL TIME LECTURER – PATHOLOGY

The Lecturer in Pathology will be responsible for teaching Pathology courses to students in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences and other relevant academic programmes. The successful candidate will prepare and deliver high-quality instructional content, facilitate practical and laboratory-based learning, assess and mentor students, conduct research, and contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement. The Lecturer will also engage in scholarly activities and University initiatives that support the University's mission of excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and healthcare education.

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:
-Bachelor of Medicine and bachelor of Surgery or Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences or any other equivalent qualifications.
-A Master’s Degree in Pathology.
-A PHD in Pathology will be added advantage.
-At least 3 years of teaching experience at a recognized higher learning institution with a teaching qualification.
-Evidence of research output, peer-reviewed publications, and conference presentations will be an added advantage.
-Strong clinical leadership, communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
-Must be registered with the Health Professionals Council of Zambia (HPCZ).

FULLTIME LECTURER – HUMAN ANATOMY
The Lecturer in Human Anatomy will be responsible for teaching Human Anatomy courses to students in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences and other relevant academic programmes. The successful candidate will prepare and deliver high-quality instructional content, facilitate practical, laboratory, assess and mentor students, conduct research, and contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement. The Lecturer will also engage in scholarly activities and University initiatives that support the University's mission of excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and healthcare education.

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:
-Bachelor of Medicine and bachelor of Surgery or of Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy or any other equivalent qualifications.
-A Master’s Degree in Human Anatomy.
-A PHD in Human Anatomy will be added advantage.

The University of Lusaka, in collaboration with the Inventive Society of Scientists, invites the public to a seminar featuring:

Dr Edwin Wilson Mwanza β€” an award-winning medical researcher, Africa’s Best Health Innovator and Founder of the Inventive Society of Scientists, currently pioneering a non-surgical cataract treatment.

Dr Peter Mubanga Cheuka β€” a Zambian drug discovery scientist and Senior Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry whose research focuses on developing treatments for malaria and other tropical diseases.
