๐Ÿš† What does it take to keep Zambia moving?

As part of our 2026 CAS Camp, our students embarked on an educational tour of the Zambia Railways Limited Training Centre, where they gained valuable insights into the institution's vital role in managing and developing Zambia's railway system. The experience was both eye-opening and impactful.

The visit also highlighted the challenges facing the railway sector, particularly vandalism, and students were encouraged to become ambassadors for protecting public infrastructure by promoting responsibility and civic pride within their communities.

The CAS Camp is not just creating memorable experiences, it is about shaping informed, responsible, and action-oriented leaders who understand that every citizen has a role to play in building a better Zambia.

Well done, Zayne, and congratulations to all the students who represented our school with excellence. Your dedication, hard work, and passion for mathematics continue to make us proud!

During camp, our learners overcame challenging obstacle courses, took part in exciting team building activities, problem-solving tasks, and developed confidence, resilience, leadership, communication and collaboration skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Beyond the skills they gained, these experiences helped them build lasting friendships, discover their strengths, step outside their comfort zones, and create unforgettable memories that will stay with them for years to come. Camp is more than an adventure, it's a journey of growth and discovery.

Giving Back: Learning Through Service ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒ

As part of our 2026 Experiential Learning Camp, our learners had the opportunity to put the values of service and compassion into action by giving back to the communities they visited.

Thanks to the incredible generosity and partnership of our parents, we collected 17 bags of clothing items! We also donated sanitation items, books, food, cleaning supplies, and stationery. While our donations may have seemed modest, they made a meaningful impact and taught our learners a valuable lesson: even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

We are incredibly grateful to the schools that welcomed us, opened their doors and their hearts to us, and gave our learners the opportunity to connect, share, serve, and learn from their communities.

To our wonderful parents, thank you for your partnership and generosity. Together, we are helping our learners understand that true learning extends beyond the classroom and that giving back can make a lasting difference.

One Borehole. Thousands of Lives Changed ๐ŸŒ

Some lessons go beyond the classroom.

During our 2026 Annual Experiential Learning/CAS Camp, our learners, parents, and the Pestalozzi Academy community came together to drill and donate a borehole, a 5,000-litre water tank, and an electric pump to Kawama Health Centre in Kabwe, providing clean, safe water access for more than 18,000 people.

Through this project, our learners experienced the true meaning of service, leadership, and community impact. Represented by our Student Council President, they played an active role in an initiative that will benefit the Kawama community for years to come.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Zambia, Kabwe District Health Director Dr Evaristo Chanda, expressed his appreciation to Pestalozzi Academy for this meaningful contribution.

For the past three years, we have remained committed to improving access to clean, reliable water, with borehole projects completed at Mulungushi, St. Paul's Clinic, Shikoswe Clinic in Kafue District, and now Kawama Health Centre in Kabwe.

CAS is more than a subject; it is learning through service, leadership, and creating lasting change.

The adventure may be over, but the impact is just beginning! From 8thโ€“11th July, our Grades 4 to 12 learners embarked on the 2026 Annual Experiential Learning Camp in Kabwe and Kapiri-Mposhi, where they embraced new challenges, built lasting friendships, served communities, and created memories beyond the classroom.

Over the coming days, we'll be sharing highlights, inspiring stories, and some of our favourite moments from this incredible and adventurous journey - from leadership and teamwork to creativity, activity, service, and outdoor challenges that inspired growth beyond the classroom.

The best is yet to come! Stay tuned as we relive the memories and celebrate the experiences that made the Camp truly unforgettable! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’šโœจ
