📢 CLOSURE OF MARIGOLD TRUST SCHOOL

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Kindly be informed that Marigold Trust School will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, 1st September 2026, following the declaration of the day as a Public Holiday to facilitate the Swearing-In Ceremony of the President-elect, His Excellency Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, and the Vice President-elect, Mrs. Mutale Nalumango.

Please take note of the following:

🏢 Administrative Offices
Normal administrative operations will resume on Wednesday, 2nd September 2026.

🎒 Learners
Learners will report for classes on Tuesday, 8th September 2026.

We kindly ask all parents and guardians to take note of these dates and make the necessary arrangements.

Leadership is earned through service, dedication, and character.

Yesterday, we proudly welcomed our new prefects as they accepted the responsibility of leading by example. We also celebrated Outstanding Sports Boys and Girls. whose hard work and excellence were recognised through well-deserved awards.

To our outgoing Prefects, Head Boy and Head Girl, thank you for your commitment, integrity, and the lasting impact you've made on our school community. Your leadership has inspired those who follow in your footsteps.

In Loving Memory of Dr. Guy Lindsay Scott (1944–2026)

It is with profound sadness that we join the nation in mourning the passing of Dr. Guy Lindsay Scott.

A distinguished statesman, scholar, and public servant, Dr. Scott dedicated his life to the service of Zambia. His leadership, wisdom, and commitment to national development have left a lasting mark on our country's history and will continue to inspire generations to come.

As a school, we honour his legacy and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all Zambians during this time of grief.

May his life of service remind us of the values of leadership, integrity, and dedication to the greater good.

Rest in peace, Dr. Guy Lindsay Scott.
