St. Mary's pre-School is run by the Congregation of the sisters of Mary Immaculate. The school started several years ago before propet facilities were put in place. It is situated in Serenje, Central Province of Zambia. The School aims at giving care and educational opportunities to childern from disadvantaged families including many ophans out 120 children attending only few can pay, thr other can't. St. Mary's pre-school strives to develop the children's own awareness of God. It promotes christian values based on the teaching of christ for their human moral and spiritual growth at the earliest stage of their lives. In this way we hope to allow them to discover a tender God and repond freely to this love as they grow. As a chil's progress depends on the efforts and the sacrifice the community put in its education in the same way the is to learn to contribute to the society . The education for children is the foundation for the development of a human society. Also better education will enable the children to earn a living as they grow and take part in building up of out Country.
