Yesterday in Chess Club, one of our younger students paused for nearly two minutes before making a move.

She knew what to do. But to go one step further than usual, she needed to think more carefully about what came next.

That kind of thinking doesn’t come from being told. It develops through practice.

Ambition, in practice, looks like students pushing past what feels comfortable and staying with what’s difficult.

Exams will be starting soon at Crucible Lusaka.
