A proud moment for Crucible Lusaka!
Congratulations to our incredible chess teams for their outstanding performance at the 2026 Regional Midland Chess ISAZ Championships.
Boys Team — 1st Place Champions
Girls Team — 3rd Place Finish
Your discipline, strategy, teamwork, and determination truly reflected the Crucible values of Ambition, Rigour, and Excellence. We are proud to see our students representing the school with such confidence and sportsmanship.
The future belongs to young leaders who think critically both on and off the chessboard.

Yesterday in Chess Club, one of our younger students paused for nearly two minutes before making a move.
She knew what to do. But to go one step further than usual, she needed to think more carefully about what came next.
That kind of thinking doesn’t come from being told. It develops through practice.
22/04/2026
Ambition, in practice, looks like students pushing past what feels comfortable and staying with what’s difficult.
19/04/2026
Rigour shows up in the details.
Taking the time to check, to question, and to go back over something rather than leaving it as “good enough”.
17/04/2026
Most of the work behind strong results isn’t visible.
It’s built in what students do consistently, long before the exam.
15/04/2026
Exams will be starting soon at Crucible Lusaka.
This is a time for students to demonstrate not just what they know, but how they think, prepare, and apply their understanding.
With structured support and a focused environment, students are equipped to approach this period with confidence and clarity.
Because strong outcomes are built long before the exam begins.

Before there were classrooms, there was a vision.
This space was built with the intention of creating an environment where students could focus, think independently, and grow with confidence.
Today, those same spaces are filled with curiosity, discussion, and learning.
It’s a reminder that the right environment doesn’t happen by accident - it is created with purpose.

Academic excellence at Crucible Lusaka is not about memorising content.
It is about understanding it.
Students are challenged to think critically, ask questions, and apply what they learn in meaningful ways - building knowledge that lasts beyond the classroom.
