“The letter o can make different sounds depending on the letters around it. Sometimes it’s short like in pot, sometimes long like in oval, and other times it changes with special partners like oa in boat, o-e in cone, ow in bow, or oe in toe. Each spelling pattern tells us which sound to use.”

Let's teach our learners these phonics rule and it will be easy for them to read

Why Parents and ECE Teachers Must Work Together

Early childhood is a critical stage of growth. During these years, children learn to speak, think, socialize, and solve problems. That’s why strong collaboration between parents and Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers is so important.

- Teamwork builds consistency: When home and school use similar strategies, children learn more easily and feel less confused.
- Early support matters: Shared observations help identify learning difficulties quickly, allowing for timely intervention.
- Children feel secure: Seeing parents and teachers cooperate shows children that education is valued, boosting confidence and motivation.
- Balanced guidance: Parents know their child best, while teachers bring expertise in child development. Together, they provide complete support.

In conclusion: Communication and cooperation between parents and teachers lay the foundation for academic success. Working as one team helps children grow into confident and capable learners.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers are dedicated professionals who quietly shape the future of our community. The early years are a critical period of rapid brain development, and these educators do far more than supervise children. They are mentors and nurturers who build the foundation for lifelong learning.

ECE teachers introduce children to their first letters and numbers. More specifically, they provide essential instruction in fine motor skills, guiding little hands to grip pencils correctly and form their first written characters. Beyond academics, they teach children how to share, listen, solve problems, and develop confidence—skills essential for becoming successful adults.

These educators are often the first to identify when a child needs extra support, enabling early interventions that can alter a child's trajectory. By providing safe, educational environments, they also support families, allowing parents to work and strengthening the local economy.

Despite their profound impact, ECE teachers are frequently undervalued. Recognizing their worth requires fair professional respect, ongoing training, and public appreciation. When we invest in these educators, we invest in future doctors, leaders, and innovators. We must support their work with action, acknowledging that to value Early Childhood Education teachers is to value our collective future.

Proudly ECE teacher💪

Many parents think helping their child succeed in school requires hours of teaching.

It doesn’t.

Small actions make the biggest difference.

Here are 3 powerful things you can do:

1️⃣ Ask: “What did you learn today?”
This improves memory and confidence.

2️⃣ Let them teach you the topic.
Teaching others strengthens understanding.

3️⃣ Encourage practice questions.
Practice builds exam confidence faster than reading notes.

Consistency matters more than perfection.

Some parents will never allow their children to participate in any school party or events organized by the school, while other parents gladly give their permission. Some believe that their children come to school only to learn Mathematics and English, and that every other activity does not concern them.
Yes, academics are very important. That is why we send our children to school. But school is not only about textbooks and examinations. It is also about social development, confidence building, teamwork, creativity, and learning how to interact with others.
Do you know how those children feel when they see their classmates preparing for a school party or event, talking excitedly about it, and they are left out? Many of them feel sad, embarrassed, or different. They may not say it at home, but it affects them emotionally. A child who constantly watches others participate while they are withdrawn may begin to feel excluded.
School events are not a waste of time. They help children discover talents, build friendships, and create beautiful memories. These activities also teach important life skills that cannot be learned from books alone.
As parents, let us try to see beyond just Maths and English. Education is holistic. When we allow our children to participate in positive school activities, we are helping them grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well.

WHAT TEACHERS ENDURE THAT PARENTS DON'T SEE

Parents see report cards, complaints, exam results

They don’t see disrespect swallowed, insults ignored, headaches endured, emotional restraint practiced daily

Dear Stakeholders,
“Teachers don’t respond to everything. Not because they are weak oo, but because they are wise.”🤗
