ONE VICTORY AFTER ANOTHER FOR THE CAVENDISH UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF LAW
Cavendish University Zambia's Faculty of Law students have emerged victorious in the inaugural Arbitration Moot Court Competition. This prestigious event, held to showcase arbitration practice in Zambia to both local and international delegates, concluded with a thrilling final round on 27th March 2025 at the InterContinental Hotel in Lusaka.
With this remarkable achievement, Team Cavendish has earned the honor of representing Zambia in Australia at the international stage in September this year.
Congratulations to our champions. Your hard work, dedication, and excellence continue to make us proud!

CAVENDISH UNIVERSITY ZAMBIA ADVANCES TO THE SEMI-FINALS OF THE 2025 LAZ ANNUAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION
Earlier today, Cavendish University Zambia law students Christopher Kapembe, Josiane Adolphe, Mweemba Sicheeba, Neogratius Justin, and researcher Innocent Chabingwa showcased their exceptional legal skills in the ongoing 2025 Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) Annual Moot Court Competition and have successfully advanced to the semi-finals.
The competition began with 12 universities from across Zambia, and Team CUZ has risen to the challenge, securing a well-earned place among the top teams.
The LAZ Moot Court Competition, organized by Junior LAZ members, serves as a prestigious platform to inspire and equip the next generation of legal professionals. The finals will take place in Livingstone during the annual LAZ AGM and will be adjudicated by judges from the High Court and Court of Appeal.
We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievement and wish them the best of luck as they prepare for the semi-finals.

IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
CAVENDISH UNIVERSITY ZAMBIA LAW FACULTY PRESIDENT STILL ALIVE.
We stand to notify the Cavendish University Zambia Law student's and school general populous that the Cavendish University Zambia Law Faculty President Hon Mkisi Silomba was involved in a terrible road car traffic accident on the copperbelt. This happened in the early afternoon hours of Monday, 17th of February, 2025 as they were heading to Luanshya for their community engagements.
Close sources, indicate that he was in the company of his good mentor and brother Mr Isaac Pomboloka , who is also a re-nowed Social Media Influencer and Author.
Other was University of Lusaka Student Union President Counsel Dennis Kaayo (LLB) a very close associate of him.
We wish our dearest Faculty President and the two colleagues a speed recovery as we send our prayers of good health.

Earlier today, Cavendish University Zambia Faculty of Law students participated in the Inaugural Arbitration Moot Competition, demonstrating their advocacy skills in a highly competitive setting.
The final round of the competition will take place during the Lusaka Arbitration Week 2025, an event aimed at showcasing arbitration practice in Zambia to both local and international delegates.
Our students mooted against UNILUS, and the final showdown is set for 27th February 2025 during Arbitration Week. This competition presents a remarkable opportunity for our students to engage with real-world arbitration scenarios and gain invaluable experience in dispute resolution.
