#1 DEALING WITH BUSINESS STRESS
Running a business is stressful. There are responsibilities, decisions, uncertainty, and pressure. Sometimes, it feels like too much to carry…but God doesn’t want you to carry it alone. 1 Peter 5:6-7 is a reminder that He cares deeply for you and invites you to cast your worries on Him.
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:6–7
This invitation isn’t just for your personal life—it applies to your business, too. God sees the weight you’re carrying and invites you to hand it over to Him.
In this article, we’ll reflect on several familiar sources of business stress and what it means to let go. Each section includes a short reflection, a word of encouragement, and a simple prayer prompt to help you surrender that burden to God.
Letting Go of Business Stress: 6 Real-Life Examples
Feeling overwhelmed? You’re not alone. These examples highlight everyday business struggles and how you can respond by turning to God instead of carrying them by yourself.
1. Fear of Failure
You’ve poured time, money, and energy into this business, yet the fear of failure lingers. What if it doesn’t work? What if others think you’ve wasted your time? The pressure to succeed can be overwhelming, especially when you feel like everything is riding on your performance.
Letting Go
God never promised a life without challenges, but He does promise to walk with you through them. Failure in the world’s eyes doesn’t define your worth in His. Trust that God sees your effort, knows your heart, and can use even your setbacks for His glory.
Pray Over It
God, remind me that my worth isn’t found in success or failure but in You. Help me release my fear and trust that You are guiding every step.
