American International School of Lusaka - AISL Welcome to the American International School of Lusaka! Tomorrow's diplomatic, business, educational, and scientific leaders are enrolled in our school today.

Situated on a beautiful and secure 25-acre purpose-built campus located on the outskirts of Lusaka, we offer the most robust academic and extracurricular programs of any school in the country.

We were founded in 1986 to provide an international education in Zambia. Therefore, we look beyond Zambia and benchmark our programs, faculty, facilities, and results against the finest international sc

hools in the region. Please come visit us and I think you'll quickly see what I mean.

AISL is a close-knit school community committed to our vision of helping every student thrive. Our highly-qualified multinational faculty strives to realize this vision daily by challenging students intellectually while supporting their physical, social, and emotional well-being. Working in partnership with parents, AISL also encourages students to develop an appreciation for and understanding of Zambia and to celebrate the diversity of the more than 40 nationalities on campus. Please take a few minutes to visit our website. I think you will be impressed. Better still, please contact our Admissions Manager, Ms. Natasha Chalikulima ([email protected]), and arrange a campus tour. We are very proud of our school and would love to show you around.

As the school year concludes, the library remains a dedicated space for growth and community, we believe that reading, reflection, laughter, and celebration are essential to learning. This extends to our staff, as we celebrate our shared accomplishments and continue to learn right up until the last day.

On Thursday 11 June students spent the day engaging with Community Partners from around Lusaka. We would like to thank the Community Partners for collaborating with the students at AISL. We truly appreciate the time they took to educate and mentor students. We are so hopeful that students were inspired to think about ways they will be able to collaborate with the partners next year and in the future.

JAWS Donation to AARC and LAWS

JAWS from the American International School is very proud and happy to make a donation of K10,000 to both AARC and LAWS respectively, from monies raised through a variety of fundraising initiatives. Making that a total donation of K20.000!

As we come to the end of the school year, we would like to reaffirm our continued commitment to supporting both AARC and LAWS and promoting animal welfare in Lusaka. We truly value the important work that AARC and LAWS does for animals in our community, and we look forward to continuing our partnership and support in the future.

Guest Speaker Visit
Our Grade 3 and Grade 5 students had a great guest lesson from Alaya, a Jordanian adventurer and founder of the Hike With Me project.

Alaya is walking from Cape Town, South Africa to Magadan, Russia, about 23,000 km across 18 countries. It is one of the longest routes on Earth someone can walk on foot. His walk, called “Hike With Me”, symbolizes unity, hope, and the belief that education is the foundation of a safe, sustainable world. He is doing this to share a message of peace and to visit schools along the way.

He talked to the students about his journey so far, his passion for what he is doing, and the importance of believing in yourself. He also shared the different countries and schools he has visited. It helped our learners think about how people can take action and make a difference.

A big thank you to Heinz and Altu for organizing this guest lesson, and to Alaya for visiting our school.

The 2nd and 3rd grade Sprouting Roots and Shoots CCA finished strong this year. They spent the year learning about, sharing and advocating for pangolins. They put on a skit, shared information boards, made games and word searches, and then raised money. They held a bake sale and sold t-shirts specifically designed for their initiative. They raised over K11,000 to help rehabilitate pangolins in Zambia through Wildlife Crime Prevention (WCP). They lived up to their motto, "We are small but MIGHTY."
