We had a fantastic time last week learning from Madison Hart and Stephanie Hartland of Kidslink Global about behavior modification in children with autism. At Proactive Ways Academy, we prioritize continuous professional development to ensure our teachers stay updated on the latest techniques and trends. A huge thank you to Kidslink Global, Kabitaka Sentinel School, University Teaching Hospital, University of Zambia School of Education's Epsse Department, and Explorers Preperatory school for participating and making it a success. We're especially grateful to Kidslink Global for partnering with us on this initiative and to UNZA Special Needs Resource Center for hosting the event.

Gross motor skills are an essential part of a child's physical development. At Proactive WAYS Academy we do all sorts of activities to promote gross and fine motor skill. Fine motor skills are important for pencil grip, buttoning one's shirt and so on. We also teach our children activities for daily living.

We did not miss out on Easter. We had a great time together as always.

It's not always about books, speech and behavioural therapy. Sometimes we just go out to have fun, because we deserve it.
