WHY PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA SHOULD BE CHAIRMAN OF THE AFRICAN UNION.
______________________________________________________________________

Let’s delve into it.

At a time when Africa faces complex economic, political, and security challenges, the African Union requires leadership that is reform minded, diplomatically credible, economically literate, and globally respected. President Hakainde Hichilema embodies these qualities and has more than we (Africa) need for a chairman.

1. A REFORM ORIENTED ECONOMIC LEADER

Africa’s most pressing challenge of all times is economic transformation amid debt distress, inflationary pressure and limited fiscal space.

The president assumed office at a time when Zambia was grappling with one of the continent’s most severe debt crises and having our reserves our national coffers empty rather than crashing his administration pursued structured engagement with creditors under the G20 Common Framework, demonstrating vision, patience, transparency, and commitment to reform.

His approach has signaled several important leadership qualities relevant to the AU, ie.

a) His commitment to fiscal discipline and economic stabilization and this is what most African leades don’t embrace.

b) Willingness to engage multilaterally.

C) Understanding of global financial systems.

D) Focus on long-term structural reform over short-term populism (which some Zambians don’t understand because they want quick solutions with short legs).

Africa needs leadership that understands global finance and can advocate effectively for , climate financing, and investment flows.

President Hakainde Hichilema’s experience navigating complex debt negotiations positions him well to articulate Africa’s economic interests on the global stage.

2. RE-ENGAGEMENT WITH THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY.

Under President Hakainde Hichilema, Zambia re-established strong diplomatic ties with traditional and emerging partners alike (China, US, UAE).

His administration prioritized rebuilding trust with international institutions while maintaining constructive relations across geopolitical divides.

In the recent diplomatic annual gathering at MICC the president with boldness stated the countries position on bilateral relations with different countries despite intense geopolitics and that the country takes no sides, the president has also been emphasizing and advocating for with regards to the for the entire Africa and this is the man that has been stressing on the of African countries which has prevented most African countries from venturing into certain industries, state owned and run investments.

The president has strived to balance relationships with major global powers, advocate for African agency rather than dependency to promote investment, trade and development partnerships

President Hakainde Hichilema’s pragmatic and non-confrontational diplomacy reflects a leader capable of strengthening Africa’s collective voice .

3. COMMITMENT TO DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE.

The African Union’s credibility depends heavily on its defense of constitutionalism, democratic transitions, and the rule of law. The President himself came to power through a peaceful democratic transition after years in opposition and years of immense persecution and violence towards him and his party, when he assumed office some members of his party and some members of the general public assumed the president will go for vengeance, well the man upheld the rule of law and democracy thrived from electoral processes (by-elections) to freedom of speech and expression not just members of the public but media houses too which we didn’t see from the previous regime.

At a time when several regions of Africa are facing coups and democratic backsliding, a chairperson with a clear electoral mandate and a reform narrative would strengthen the AU’s moral authority in promoting constitutional governance.

4. A PRIVATE SECTOR MINDSET FOR CONTINENTAL GROWTH

President Hakainde Hichilema brings something rare to African continental leadership which is deep private sector experience.
As a businessman before entering politics, he understands investment, productivity, and enterprise development from the ground up.

Africa’s youth population demands jobs, innovation, and industrialization. A leader who speaks the language of markets and entrepreneurship can help:

A. Accelerate the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) which he has been emphasizing.

B. Promote cross-border investment

C. Encourage private sector driven development

Economic transformation will not come from rhetoric alone, it requires business literacy and ex*****on discipline especially from an experienced man like him.

The African Union stands at a pivotal moment. From debt restructuring to climate negotiations, from democratic stability to continental trade integration, Africa requires leadership that is steady, credible, and forward-looking.

President Hakainde Hichilema’s track record in economic reform, international re-engagement, democratic legitimacy, and pragmatic governance make him the best candidate for the African Union Chairmanship.

And that is the kind of leadership the continent needs now.

THIS IS WHY I STRONGLY BELIEVE PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA SHOULD CHAIR THE AFRICAN UNION.

ZAMBIA A MEDIOCRE STATE.

A COUNTRIES POLITICAL SPACE IS A REFLECTION OF ITS SOCIETY.

Am writing this with a heavy heart 💔

We are a country whose political space is more into persona than national development.

Those in the corridors of power focus on completely annihilating potential threats.

While the most unfortunate part is that the opposition (potential threats) have no substance, given an opportunity at the table of dialogue, it’s mere rant no issue based politics.

Who is to blame?
Of course not them, but us.

Did you know that a countries political landscape is shaped by the society it’s leading?

Whatever is happening speaks volumes of what kind of people we are as a nation.

If we want to produce better politicians let us produce a better society.

We are a country whose youths focus much on social media trends than savings, business ideas, real issues affecting our national politics nor interested in the corporate talk.

The youth spend money to be updated on current social trends and not what will improve or better them.

Our rivers are being polluted by foreign investors and no youth has risen to talk about, we are busy sharing trends when Mongolians and Caucasians are sharing our minerals and owning property in CBD, damn!!!!!!!!!.

Ok chimanibaba😔

We are lost as a people.

Cry mother Zambia.🇿🇲

HOW TO START A START UP BUSINESS.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

1) live in the future, visualize what others can’t. 🔑

2) While in that future begin to see what’s missing in the world. 🤷🏽‍♂️

3) Put it in writing and begin to crack ideas around it. 💡

4) Make a good if not prefect PROTOTYPE of that idea.🪢

5) Show that prototype to 100 people. Do they like it? get enough feedback.

6) Iterate on that prototype until it makes sense to people.

7) Find a Co-founder. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

😎. Register your business (Pacra,ZRA,ZPPA etc) and split equity based on inputs like labor and capital and put it in writing.

9) Look for funding and start the first version of that business that will be a foundation laying down every principle and strategy meticulously.

10) Launch 🚀 let everyone know you built something kick start the visibility.

11) Do a thorough follow up with customers, are they coming back or not?
If yes, then grow your audience/customers, expand through capacity building investing both in the customers and your workers.

12) If not, they came and left, then launch again, campaign more harder until customers stay.

13) Continue doing follow ups and getting feedback on how you can improve your prototype.

14) Grow 5% of your business every week, quite hard but proven possible.

15) Keeping growing until you reach 5 million customers, when that happens then it’s.

SUCCESS 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
