I'm kindly asking for recommendations for Special Kids Boarding Schools in Lusaka. My boy is Autistic and speech delayed, soon turning 5 years old. I'll humbly appreciate 🙏

I would just like to make a contribution anonymously.

Before we get to give our kids supplements, we need to make sure we detox them and then work on their gut. After this we add supplements.

Detoxing is basically where you soak your child in warm bath of epsom salt, bentonite clay and baking soda. This helps especially with those kids who rarely sleep usually kids with adhd and autism. My son was diagnosed with autism/ADHD. He was super hyper active. He would only sleep for 3 hrs and he's up and everywhere.

So i started doing my research coz I was very stressed. Through doing my research, i learnt a lot about the link between gut health and autistic/ADHD/ speech delay. I started with detox baths for 20 minutes 3 times a week and then reduced to once a week. I kid you not my son started sleeping more and he's hyper activity has greatly reduced.

I then dove deeper into gut health. My son only used to eat fries and beans. This made him not get a lot of nutrients. So I started with probiotics. Once can use yogurt with active cultures, munkoyo or many fermented drinks or foods. These help stabilise the gut bacteria. Then slowly start introducing vegetables, fish and add more and more. If my baby did a 180 degree change after that. I started doing that in January this year. This time he's sleeping through the night, eats everything on his plate and he plays with other kids. Though we are still working on speech. Coz I stay in a rural area and there's no where i can take him for speech therapy where I am.

Good morning, I have been working on helping my daughter all thanks to you for the recommendations and encouragement, I can confirm we have won with speech though not fully clear but we are able to communicate..

I am asking for your advice and also recommendations from parents in the group about Chainama hospital children's clinic. I have not gone there am planning to take my daughter for ADHD assessment but am afraid...her hyperactivity isn't improving. I thought we take her back for assessment and possibly treatment.

I have a question also, do we have mother's whose children where diagnosed with ADHD and are on treatment from chainama? Is the medicine permanent or one stops taking once they improve?.. My daughter is hyperactive, has difficulties to sleep, I'm equally getting affected that's why I have resorted to going back to the hospital.. Note, I had taken her for assessment when she was 3 year's. We were told to wait till she's 5 as she could improve but she's almost 6 and she's still hyperactive and always moving up and down. Kindly help 🙏
