WHY TEACH VOWELS TO THE LEARNERS( OR A CHILD) FIRST?
Vowel sounds are taught first because 62% of English words or syllables contain the vowel sounds.
Basically, there are two categories of vowels, these are: short and long vowel sounds. In the next two days we will begin looking at how short vowels are pronounced via a video lesson and how we can blend these short vowels with consonant sounds.

It is true that parents are also good teachers who can transform their children to become good readers by engaging in literacy activities just like teachers at school do.
Lets make literacy a funny thing at home for our children. Reading is good.
