WHY TEACH VOWELS TO THE LEARNERS( OR A CHILD) FIRST?
Vowel sounds are taught first because 62% of English words or syllables contain the vowel sounds.
Basically, there are two categories of vowels, these are: short and long vowel sounds. In the next two days we will begin looking at how short vowels are pronounced via a video lesson and how we can blend these short vowels with consonant sounds.
