I. Embracing the THREE PRINCIPLES of INTERPRETATION.
A. The Bible CORRECTLY understood NEVER contradicts itself.
Why?
Because the Bible is truth, and truth is inherently cohesive.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Psalm 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
If you find passages seeming to contradict, the problem is not the passage but your understanding of the passage.
This is the reason why further analysis will yield hopefully an understanding of the passage in its context correctly.

B. David L. Cooper’s golden rule of Interpretation: When the plain sense of scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense; therefore, take every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the facts of the immediate context, studied in the light of related passages and axiomatic and fundamental truths indicate clearly otherwise.
The bible is not to be interpreted in the allegorical way, it is to be interpreted as any literature because the context uses words in its content, it is to be understood in its normal fashion, historically, grammatically, contextually, and as a result, it means what it says and says what it means.
There must be no hidden meaning to that. This is so because allegorical interpretation is always for meaning beyond the surface, meaning that is not tied to the reality of the statement itself.

C. The Bible is the best interpreter of itself.
We note that certain verses shed light on other verses of scripture as long as you keep the context in mind. Every verse has a context and certain content.

Encouragement to Pray for the Nation in a Time of Tension
Lusaka Bible Church – Mutanda Bantu
Rooted in the Story of Joseph – Genesis 37–50

Dear Saints,
As we gather this week in prayer, we find ourselves not only called to intercede for our community, but also burdened to lift our nation before the Lord.
The recent events surrounding the passing of our former President Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, and the unfolding dispute between his family, political party, and the government, have revealed the deep emotional, political, and institutional wounds within our country. The struggle over his final resting place has become more than a family matter—it now touches the very soul of our national unity, dignity, and healing.

A Timely Word from the Life of Joseph
In Genesis 50, after the death of Jacob, Joseph and his brothers faced a sensitive moment—how to honor their father’s burial wishes amidst past betrayals, wounds, and power imbalances. Instead of escalating conflict, Joseph chose humility, compassion, and respect, even arranging a dignified burial in the land of Canaan (Genesis 50:7–13).
Joseph also wept. He grieved. But most importantly, he forgave and looked for God’s higher purpose in the moment:
“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” – Genesis 50:20
Beloved, Zambia stands at such a moment.

Our Call as the Church
Let us not choose sides, but choose prayer. Let us not fan the flames of division, but be peacemakers. We are the salt and light of the nation, and Zambia needs the church to rise in intercession.

________________________________________

Prayer Points for the Nation:
1. Pray for the Lungu Family:
That the God of all comfort would be near to them in grief, and grant them peace beyond understanding (2 Corinthians 1:3–4).
2. Pray for the Government of Zambia:
That leaders would act not in pride or fear, but in wisdom, humility, and justice.
3. Pray for the Opposition Political Party:
That their hearts may be moved toward unity, truth, and responsibility in their public influence.
4. Pray for Peace in the Nation:
That there would be no violence, tribal hatred, or political provocation—only peace, truth, and healing.
5. Pray for National Healing:
Like Joseph, that those with deep wounds would forgive, and that we would not let the pain of the past poison the future.
________________________________________
Final Encouragement
Church, let us remember: God is still sovereign over Zambia.
When nations shake, He remains firm. When families feud, He heals. When leaders fail, He rules still.
Let us go before Him with fasting, prayer, and love—not panic or partisanship. We are ambassadors of Christ, and this is our time to shine.
“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” – Matthew 5:9
Let Zambia not be divided by death, but drawn together in hope.

As you read the book of Colossians, there is the concept of true wisdom presented in the Epistle that needs to be explored. The Lord Jesus Christ emphasizes the importance of true wisdom that comes from God, contrasting it with false or worldly wisdom. We'll examine the elements that comprise true wisdom by analyzing the relevant passages:

Colossians 1:9
Colossians 1:28
Colossians 3:16
Colossians 4:5

1. Understanding True Wisdom in Colossians
True wisdom in Colossians is depicted as a divine understanding and knowledge that originates from God and is centered on Jesus Christ. It encompasses spiritual insight, which produces practical living, and maturity in faith. This wisdom enables believers to live lives that are pleasing to God, fruitful in good works, and reflective of Christ's character.

2. Elements of True Wisdom
Each passage identifies and gives understanding of the components that constitute true wisdom.

A. Filled with the Knowledge of God's Will
Colossians 1:9
"For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;"

Knowledge of God's Will: True wisdom begins with knowing God's desires and plans. This knowledge is not superficial but profound and comprehensive.
Spiritual Understanding: This refers to discernment granted by the Holy Spirit, enabling believers to grasp spiritual truths and apply them effectively.

Key Points:
Relationship with God: Understanding His will fosters a deeper relationship with Him.
Guidance for Living: It provides direction for making decisions that align with God's purposes.
Transformation: This knowledge transforms the believer's mind and actions to reflect God's character.

There's no any other court of appeal to nullify your salvation, after God Has declared you righteous.

Executing the work: the epistle of Romans first introduces the importance of the Gospel in 1:1-17, then the necessity of the Gospel 1:18-3:20, all this showing us the problem of humanity - SIN
The epistle turns to show the solution of humanity's problem - THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST in 3:21-15:13.
Humanity will never experience true deliverance without the clear Gospel of Christ. Every believer in must acquire this wisdom to win souls. Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
