_The new curriculum system will run as follows:_

Grade 1
Grade 2
Grade 3
Grade 4
Grade 5
Grade 6 (Final Primary Exams)

_The *"Grade"* system at Secondary level will now be referred to as *"Form"*_

Grade 7 = Form 1
Grade 8 = Form 2
Grade 9 = Form 3
Grade 10= Form 4 (Final Secondary Exams - "O" Levels)

Grade 11 = Form 5
Grade 12 = Form 6 ("A" Levels)

_Then, tertiary education has reduced in years as follows:_

*1.* _University Degree = 3 years_
*2.* _Diploma =2 years_
*3.* _Certificates will be phased out_

*Therefore, the 2023 Curriculum Framework will be as follows:*

*1.* _Primary school education will end at Grade 6._

*2.* _Learners will not automatically progress to secondary school after sitting examinations at Grade 6._

*3.* _Junior and Senior Secondary School merged into Forms (1 to 4)_

*4.* _Introduction of Advanced Secondary level or "A" levels (Form 5 and 6)_

*5.* _R.E 2044 and 2046 merged._

*6.* _Social Studies has been split into it's constituent subjects of Geography, History and Civics._

*7.* _Science 5124 has been abolished. It's now Physics or Chemistry or both._

*8.* _Integrated Science has been split into it's constituent subjects of Biology, Physics and Chemistry._

*9.* _Schools to offer specialized "O" level and "A" level pathways depending on the guidelines to be provided._

I want to answer the question I asked of evaluation.

To evaluate -3² + 3⁰, we need to follow the order of operations, which is parentheses, exponents, multiplication and division (from left to right), and addition and subtraction (from left to right).First, let's evaluate the exponent 3²: 3² = 3 * 3 = 9Next, let's evaluate the exponent 3⁰: 3⁰ = 1 (Any number raised to the power of 0 is equal to 1)Now, we can substitute the values back into the expression: -3² + 3⁰ = -9 + 1Finally, we can perform the addition: -9 + 1 = -8

Therefore, -3² + 3⁰ equals -8. Hope it was helpful

COMMENCEMENT OF CANDIDATE REGISTRATION FOR THE
2022 EXAMINATION SESSION
=======================================
Lusaka, Friday 17th December, 2021. The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) hereby announces the commencement of candidate registration for the 2022 Examination Session as follows:

1. Grade 9 External and General Certificate of Education (GCE)
a. Registration will commence on Monday, 20th December, 2021 and close on Monday, 28th February, 2022.
b. Examination fees for Grade 9 External and GCE remain as last years’.
c. Eligible candidates are advised to deposit examination fees using the payment gateway or designated banks.
d. Eligible candidates should visit their preferred examination centre for pre-registration formalities.
e. Guidelines for the registration of candidates and circulars on registration will be sent to the Provincial Education Offices today Friday, 17th December 2021.

2. Grade 7, 9 Internal and School Certificate
a. Registration will commence on Monday, 10th January 2022 and close on Monday, 28th February 2022.
b. Guidelines for the registration of candidates and circulars will be communicated before the start of the registration exercise.

3. Teacher Education
The registration dates and guidelines for Colleges of Education under ECZ will be communicated in due course.

The registration of candidates is being done online through the Online Candidate Registration System (OCRS).

Therefore, eligible candidates and examination centres are advised to ensure that registration is done within the stated period as there will be no extension and the registration system will close automatically on the last day.
