SUPPLEMENTARY & DEFERRED EXAMS - ODL

Distance Learning students are hereby notified that supplementary and deferred exams for 2025 semester 2 will start on Monday 18th May 2026.
Candidates for supplementary exams must pay K300 per subject by depositing into the NRDC Business Account number 1166700300144, Twin Palms branch, Lusaka.

Only candidates with exam slips and college student IDs will be allowed entry into the exam rooms.

All theory exams will start at 09:00 hours, and practical exams at 14:00 hours.

ENROLMENT FOR THE 2027 INTAKE
Members of the public are hereby informed that NRDC is now enrolling for the 2027 intake for both full-time and distance learning.

Requirements:
1. Credits or better in English, Math, Science and two other O Level subjects; applicants with 7, 8, or 9 in any of the five required subjects will not be selected.
2. Copy of the applicant's national registration card (NRC)
3. Payment of a non-refundable application fee of K250. This fee must be deposited at any ZANACO branch into our NRDC Business Account, number 1166700300144, ZANACO, Twin Palms branch, Lusaka.

Boarding space is given on first-come-first-served basis at the time of applying. We have limited bed spaces, and as such those who apply early stand a better chance of being selected as borders.

We offer the following 3-year diploma programs:
1. Diploma in Agriculture (with majors in Agricultural Business Management, Animal Science, and Crop Science)
2. Diploma in Agricultural Education & Extension
3. Diploma in Agricultural Engineering
4. Diploma in Fisheries & Aquaculture
5. Diploma in Food & Nutrition
6. Diploma in Horticulture, and
7. Diploma in Water Engineering

We only have one intake per year. Once selected, our new students for the 2027 intake will report on 4th January 2027 if selected under distance learning, and on 15th February 2027 for those that will be selected under full-time.

SUPPLEMENTARY & DEFERRED EXAMS - 2025 SEMESTER 2
Take note that the full-time 2025 semester 2 supplementary and deferred examinations will run from Monday 9th February to Monday 16th February 2026.
Supplementary examination candidates are required to pay K300 per subject by making cash deposits at any ZANACO branch into our NRDC Business account, number 1166700300144, Twin Palms branch, ZANACO, Lusaka.
Candidates for deferred examinations must collect examination slips from the office of the HOD - Water Engineering.

Only those with GRZ receipts (in the case of supplementary exam candidates) or exam slips (in the case of deferred exam candidates) as well as college IDs will be allowed entry into the examinations.

Enrolment Update - 2026 Intake
This is to notify members of the public that the enrolment for the 2026 intake under full-time is now closed. We would like to thank all those who indicated interest in studying at NRDC - congratulating those who have been selected, and urging those who have not made it to try applying next year. We start enrolling in May of each year, and so those seeking to be enrolled as boarders are advised to apply as early as possible.

In the meantime, we are still enrolling for the 2026 intake under Distance Learning.

ODL SUPPLEMENTARY EXAMINATIONS
ODL students are hereby reminded that the supplementary and deferred exams for 2025 semester 1 will start on Monday 17th November 2025.
Those sitting for supplementary exams are required to pay K300 per subject by bank deposit into our NRDC Business account number 1166700300144 ZANACO Twin Palms branch, Lusaka. Deposit slips must be presented at the Accounts. Only students with official receipts will be allowed entry into the exam room.
Each candidate must also come with a college student Identity card.
Those sitting for deferred exams must collect exam slips from the staff room at 08:00 hours.
Please note that all theory exams start at 09:00 hours, and practical exams at 13:30 hours (on the same day as the corresponding theory exam).

Be advised that the following Fulltime programs are now closed:
Diploma in Agriculture (Agricultural Business Management major)
Diploma in Agriculture (Animal Science major)
Diploma in Agriculture (Crop Science major)
Diploma in Agricultural Engineering
Diploma in Food and Nutrition
Diploma in Water Engineering

The following Fulltime programs are still available, but on day-scholar basis only:
Diploma in Agricultural Education & Extension
Diploma in Fisheries and Aquaculture, and
Diploma in Horticulture

All the above programs (except for Horticulture) are available under Distance Learning with options for boarding or day school.

ENROLMENT UPDATE - 2026 INTAKE

Kindly note that as of today, 10 Sept 2025, the following FULLTIME programs are closed:
1. Diploma in Agriculture (all majors ABM, AS, and CS are now closed), and
2. Diploma in Agricultural Engineering (AE).

Fulltime enrolment is still ongoing but only on day-scholar basis in the following programs: Agricultural Education & Extension (ED), Fisheries and Aquaculture (FS), Food & Nutrition (FN), Horticulture (HM), and Water Engineering (WE).

All programs apart from HM, as well as boarding space, are still available under Distance Learning.

GRADUATION FEES - 2025
Graduating students of 2025 are hereby notified as follows:
The graduation fee is K1,000 (payable whether one attends the graduation ceremony or not). This fee allows a graduate to use our gown during the ceremony and return it thereafter.
Those who want to permanently keep the gown will need to top by K800, thereby paying a total of K1,800.

In addition to paying the K1000 graduation fee, those who will not attend the graduation ceremony will also be charged a K400 for being absent.

All payments must be made by bank deposit into this account:

Deposits can be made at any ZANACO branch.

The last day of collecting gowns is Wed 3rd September 2025. Gowns can be collected from the Stores office upon presenting the GRZ receipts for the graduation fee.

Enrolment Update - 2026 Intake
Members of the public are hereby notified that our we, as of today, have closed enrolment into the Animal Science (AS) and Crop Science (CS) majors because the required number of selected applicants has been reached. AS and CS majors are specializations under the Diploma in Agriculture. Kindly note that this only applies to the fulltime mode, and so does not affect those enrolling under distance learning.

SUPPLEMENTARY & DEFERRED EXAMS
Fulltime students are hereby notified that the 2025 semester 1 supplementary and deferred exams will start as calendared on Mon 11th August 2025.

Candidates for supplementary exams are required to pay K300 per subject. This money must be deposited in the NRDC Business Account, number 1166700300144, ZANAZO, Twin Palms branch, Lusaka. You can deposit the money at any ZANACO branch wherever you are. Present your deposit slips at Accounts in order to obtain the GRZ receipts that you must present to invigilators when requested to do so.

Students coming for deferred exams must ensure to collect their exams slips from the staffroom.

All candidates must also come with their student IDs in order to be allowed entry into the exams.
