Enrolment Update - 2027 Intake
Prospective applicants are hereby notified that the Diploma in Agricultural Engineering (AE) program option is now closed under full-time because we have selected the required number of applicants.
The other full-time option that is closed is the Diploma in Agriculture and all its three specializations or majors namely Agricultural Business Management (ABM), Animal Science (AS), and Crop Science (CS).

The following full-time program options are still available but only on day-scholar basis:
1. Diploma in Agricultural Education & Extension (ED)
2. Diploma in Fisheries and Aquaculture (FS)
3. Diploma in Food and Nutrition (FN)
4. Diploma in Horticulture (HM), and
5. Diploma in Water Engineering (WE)

For those wishing to study under distance learning, all program options are still available (except Horticulture). Both boarding and day-scholar options are available under distance learning.

To be selected, an applicant must have Credits or better in 5 O-level subjects that should include English, Math, and Science.

NOTICE TO GRADUATING STUDENTS
The 54th NRDC graduation ceremony takes place this Thursday 10th September 2026.
Graduating students are advised as follows:
1. Rehearsals will take place tomorrow at 14:00 at the college.
2. There will be roll call on the graduation day at 08:00; those who will come after the roll has been called will be deemed to graduate in absentia.
3. Graduates will be required to first provide their Grade 12 or GCE results as part of clearance in order to collect their diploma certificates and transcripts of results.

Enrolment Update
Be informed that we are still enrolling for the 2027 intake both for full-time and distance learning.
At this point, we have closed the following full-time programs because we have now selected the target number of applicants:
1. Diploma in Agriculture (Agribusiness Management major)
2. Diploma in Agriculture (Animal Science major), and
3. Diploma in Agriculture (Crop Science major).

Programs that are still available under full-time, but only on day-scholar basis are:
1. Diploma in Agricultural Education & Extension
2. Diploma in Agricultural Engineering
3. Diploma in Fisheries & Aquaculture
4. Diploma in Food & Nutrition
5. Diploma in Horticulture, and
6. Diploma in Water Engineering.

Note also that all the above programs are still available under distance learning including the boarding option.

Full-time 2026 Semester 1 Supp & Deferred Exams

This is to notify full-time students that the supplementary and deferred examinations of 2026 semester 1 will start on 4th to 11th August 2026. All candidates must take note of the following:

1. Candidates for supplementary or deferred exams must obtain exam slips from the office of the HOD Water Engineering
2. Candidates must come with their official college ID cards
3. Candidates for supplementary examinations must pay K300 per subject by depositing into our NRDC Business Account, number 1166700300144, ZANACO, Twin Palms branch, Lusaka. Only paid up students will be given exam slips, and allowed entry into the exams.
4. All theory exams will start in the morning at 09:00 hours
5. All practical exams will start at 13:30 hours on the same day as the corresponding theory exam.

ENROLMENT UPDATE - 2027 INTAKE
This is to inform all our prospective students that we are, as of today Sunday 26th July 2026, no longer offering boarding for the 2027 fulltime applicants. This is because all available boarding spaces have been filled. We will only offer day scholar places for the remainder of the enrolment period. Note that this only affects those applying as full-time students - boarding is still being offered to those applying under the distance learning mode.

ODL students are hereby notified that the 2026 semester 2 residential school will commence on Monday 13th July 2026 as indicated on our academic calendar.

Fees must be paid in full before or on the date of reporting. Only full-paid students will be permitted to sit for the 2026 semester 1 examinations. Students must ensure to also have valid student identity cards - these IDs required for one to enter the exam venues.

GRADUATION 2026
NRDC is scheduled to hold its 54th graduation ceremony on Thursday 10th September 2026.
Graduating students are required to verify their particulars. Details of this exercise are on our webpage https://www.nrdc.biz/students/38

The following fees will apply:
1. Graduation fee K1,000 payable by all graduating students (whether they attend the ceremony or not). For those who will attend, this amount covers the hire of the graduation gown.
2. Purchase price of a gown K1,300. Graduates wishing to buy the gown will be required to pay a total of K2,300 i.e., K1,000 graduation fee plus K1,300 as purchase of gown.
3. Absentia surcharge K500. Graduates who will not attend the graduation ceremony will pay K1,500 i.e., K1,000 graduating fee plus K500 for being absent from the graduation ceremony.
A student graduating in absentia but wants to buy a gown will pay a total of K2,800 i.e., K1,000 graduating fee plus K1,300 gown purchase plus K500 absentia surcharge.

Payments must be by cash deposits at any ZANACO bank branch into the NRDC Business Account number 1166700300144 of ZANACO Twin Palms, Lusaka.

2026 SEMESTER 1 FULLTIME EXAMINATIONS

A reminder to our fulltime students that our end of semester examinations start on Tuesday 26 May 2026.

Each students is required to have an examination slip as well as a college identity card in order to be allowed into the examinations. We have three sessions in a day: session 1 starts at 08:00 for second year exams; session 2 starts at 11:30 for first year exams; and session 3 starts at 15:00 for third year exams.

Be at the exam venue at least 30 minutes before your exam session starts.
Once an exam starts, any student who comes more than 30 minutes late will not be allowed entry into that exam.

SUPPLEMENTARY & DEFERRED EXAMS - ODL

Distance Learning students are hereby notified that supplementary and deferred exams for 2025 semester 2 will start on Monday 18th May 2026.
Candidates for supplementary exams must pay K300 per subject by depositing into the NRDC Business Account number 1166700300144, Twin Palms branch, Lusaka.

Only candidates with exam slips and college student IDs will be allowed entry into the exam rooms.

All theory exams will start at 09:00 hours, and practical exams at 14:00 hours.

ENROLMENT FOR THE 2027 INTAKE
Members of the public are hereby informed that NRDC is now enrolling for the 2027 intake for both full-time and distance learning.

Requirements:
1. Credits or better in English, Math, Science and two other O Level subjects; applicants with 7, 8, or 9 in any of the five required subjects will not be selected.
2. Copy of the applicant's national registration card (NRC)
3. Payment of a non-refundable application fee of K250. This fee must be deposited at any ZANACO branch into our NRDC Business Account, number 1166700300144, ZANACO, Twin Palms branch, Lusaka.

Boarding space is given on first-come-first-served basis at the time of applying. We have limited bed spaces, and as such those who apply early stand a better chance of being selected as borders.

We offer the following 3-year diploma programs:
1. Diploma in Agriculture (with majors in Agricultural Business Management, Animal Science, and Crop Science)

5. Diploma in Food & Nutrition
6. Diploma in Horticulture, and
7. Diploma in Water Engineering

We only have one intake per year. Once selected, our new students for the 2027 intake will report on 4th January 2027 if selected under distance learning, and on 15th February 2027 for those that will be selected under full-time.
