OK its been long since I posted. Was held up for some time but now I am back. Today we are going to talk about learning how to read. Are your children having challenges in reading? The only way to learn how to read is to learn the alphabet. The learner needs to be able to identity the whole alphabet. After this has been achieved, the learner will need to learn the sounds of the alphabet. The letters have sounds. Some letters have more than one sound. So I'll be sending some videos and voice notes on how the letter of the alphabet sound like and how letters can be combined to create other sounds. For now be sure to write the letters of the alphabet and help the child to recognize and identify them.

Yesterday we learnt that when a number has two digits then it has tens and ones. For example 61 has got six tens and 1 one. Here are the answers to yesterday's exercise.

When a number has got two digits, it has tens and ones. Now you may ask what is a digit? Digits are what make up a number. For example 51 has two digits 5 and 1. Now how many tens and ones does 51 have? It has 5 tens and 1 one.

Last we learnt that the wind pipe takes air from the nose to the lungs.

Today we are learning about the lungs. When we breathe in, air called oxygen goes in our bodies. When we breathe out, air called carbon dioxide is push out of the lungs into the wind pipe then out of our bodies through the nose. Did you know that when you breathe in your lungs get bigger and when you breathe out, the lungs get smaller? Try this by taking a deep breath in and a deep breath out and see what happens.

Irregular verbs

These are verbs that when put in past tense take on a different form. With regular verbs 'ed' is added at the end of the verb but irregular verbs can not be put in past tense by simply adding 'ed' at the end. Let's take a look at these verbs.
