🎓 Breaking Barriers: Enala Makes History as the First Family Legacy Student with Special Needs to Complete Secondary School
Enala is a 19-year-old double orphan who recently defied the odds of hearing and partial eyesight challenges to complete her secondary education at St. Mulumba Special School. With this achievement, Enala is the first Family Legacy-sponsored student with special needs to successfully complete secondary school.
A double orphan by the age of 12, Enala and her 3 brothers were taken in by an aunt who, although struggling herself, still took in her niece and nephews. In 2015, God opened a door for Enala to attend Camp Life. The following year, she was selected to start school at Misisi Legacy Academy and later at St Mulumba Special School in Choma. Her academic journey was not easy, but through it all, Enala has demonstrated great commitment, determination, and perseverance.
Family Legacy’s Special Needs Programme was launched in 2018 to provide tailored education and therapeutic support to children with disabilities who could not receive appropriate care at Family Legacy schools.
Inspired by her own experience, Enala’s dream is to go to college. She wants to be a Special Education teacher so she can also help children with special needs. “God has been so gracious to me; I have completed school because of His mercy, so I also want to help someone one day,” she said. “I want to extend my gratitude to all my teachers at St. Mulumba for their patience, love, and support,” she added.
Enala has obtained a school certificate and is awaiting sponsorship to achieve her dreams. Family Legacy Missions Zambia Family Legacy @
