Africa stands at a crossroads as its youngest population confronts aging leaders in an unsustainable generational divide. Protests and demands for accountability, inclusion, and transformation led by "Gen Z" youth are challenging entrenched governance systems. In this op-ed, I argue that the choices leaders make now will either empower the next generation and drive progress or deepen the divide, risking stagnation and shaping the continent’s future for decades.
