On Monday, 13th April 2026, Sonshine School staff visited Blouberg International School in Cape Town for professional development.

The team was warmly received by the Head of the School and the management team. We met to share and learn best practices in school organization, management, and operational systems, to strengthen and improve our own structures at Sonshine School.

We thank Blouberg International School for the warm hospitality and the valuable insights shared during the visit.

Form 2 Leadership Training Camp – Livingstone πŸ•οΈ

Our Form 2 learners recently embarked on their first Leadership Training Camp in Livingstone, where they experienced a rich and engaging program centered on culture, heritage, and personal development.

During the trip, learners visited the Royal Palace in Mukuni, explored the village, encountered the Big Five animals, enjoyed a boat cruise, and appreciated Zambia’s history and culture at the museum. They also visited the crocodile park, making the experience both educational and memorable.

The learners spent two days at a campsite, an experience that fostered resilience, teamwork, and leadership qualities.

We look forward to seeing them continue to grow through the holistic leadership training opportunities offered at Sonshine School. πŸ’›πŸ’š

Nursery Book Fair Celebration πŸ“š

On Thursday, 2nd April, the Nursery section held a vibrant Book Fair, a joyful celebration of literature that brought together young readers, wonderful stories, and the magic of books. One of the highlights of the day was seeing the classic tale β€œGoldilocks and the Three Bears” come to life.

The children delighted everyone by dressing up as their favourite book characters, creating a colourful and exciting atmosphere. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of nurturing a love for reading and encouraging children to embrace the wonderful culture of storybooks from an early age. πŸ“–πŸ’›πŸ’š

Harvest Festival: Celebrating Easter Through Giving πŸ’š

As we reflect on the death of Christ this Easter season, our Upper Primary learners marked the Harvest Festival in a meaningful way. Learners generously donated various items, which were shared with Takafen Home, spreading love, compassion, and hope.

A beautiful reminder of giving, kindness, and living out Christ’s example. βœοΈπŸ’›
