The application window is scheduled to run from January 17 to February 9, 2025.
Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati announced yesterday at a press briefing that the bursaries will be given to applicants that are enrolled in TEVET registered programmes from craft to Diploma level in institutions under the Ministry.
Mutati said the TEVET bursaries have been necessitated by virtue of some students having missed out on a chance to get a bursary award under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
He disclosed that the bursaries are open to both rural and urban students and can be accessed online.
Mutati added that the bursaries will be administered by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
In 2021, the government introduced the CDF bursaries, which have since seen over 96,000 enrollments in TEVET institutions.
“The bursaries will only be given to applicants who are enrolled in Tevet registered programmes from Craft to Diploma levels in institutions under the Ministry of Technology and Science. This has been necessitated by students who have missed out on a chance to get a bursary award from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF),” said Mutati.
“The government of the Republic of Zambia through the Ministry of Technology and Science remains committed to the provision of a conducive environment on skills development in the country to all potential leaners in line with the 8th National Development Plan.”
