I usually avoid commenting on trends, due to its vulnerable to relevance in most cases! But am forced to do this because of the threat it has to the dignity of a highest academic qualification of our time, a PhD is not everyone’s destiny.

I ve always said this on MD, you will always be our students, either Natural Sciences or Social Sciences,..

It’s sad that superiority of academic fields is taking over due to personal ego and need of social media likes,,…A PhD is not just a paper but a Prestigious front sit in academia,…. Dr K is a baby in diapers while Dr B is a serious baby sitter!

This is same as comparing a military combat and that of a pupil cadet,….

*POLYGAMY IN MALAYSIA*

A Female Professor was invited for a lecture and the topic she chose to talk about was polygamy.

She talked on the benefits of polygamy, why women should embrace it and support their husbands towards achieving it.

As she kept emphasising on this topic, a lady from the audience raised her hand, stood up and introduced herself before speaking.

Lady: "Professor, I really appreciate this topic because am relieved of my fear, I never knew you are this simple and understanding. Your message has given me the opportunity to open up to you,"

She cleared her throat and continued....

"I have been married to your husband for the past four years, and between us, we have a set of twins "

To the greatest surprise of all in the hall, the Professor fainted and was rushed to the hospital.

After she was revived, she opened her eyes to see same lady standing by her bedside.

Lady: Professor I don't know who your husband is.
I just lied to you to see if you can handle what you preach to others. Next time, please pick on subjects that you are good at. Don’t stand up on a stage and throw your thoughts around just because you have the title professor in front of your name.

KNOWLEDGE VS. WISDOM

Many times we seem not to understand these two words, see friends. Wisdom involves a healthy dose of perspective and the ability to make sound judgments about a subject while knowledge is simply knowing. Anyone can become knowledgeable about a subject by reading, researching, and memorizing facts.

We go to school to acquire knowledge as it is set, pre arranged, and designed in a specific package to attend to situations and we have this huge natural application of our faculties of thoughts that just blends and gives solutions and applications to ideas.

That shall not use knowledge where wisdom is concerned and vice versa.

Know that you need both at similar levels, if one is in excess then you will mostly be misunderstood.

AVOID CERTAIN PEOPLE

The way I fear myself, I cant afford removing the "Dr or legal Counsel" from my name for anything.

You see friends, sometimes these titles like " elder, priest, Mr, Mrs, Col" etc, they make us NOT to do certain things, say certain words, avoid certain places not because we can't afford or belong but because it reduces our intergrity and standard.

In life, get a titled that may keep you away from certain people, unnecessary drama, certain behaviors and places....

Avoid associations, groups, or individuals that say" I have nothing to lose," know that they have all rights to drag your title and respect into their cheap life.

Dear Lord, I refuse to belong to wrong fights,cheap attention, wrong places, wrong people that don't hv anything to lose.

Amen.

LOYALTY IS EVERYTHING

We have friends, families and spouses that we don't always agree with, but will not stand uphill and discredit them "LOYALTY"

We belong to associations, institutions and companies that we don't agree with its policies, procedures and processes, but we walk and live like its wholly well, believing one day it will get better" LOYALTY"

We have faith in religion amidst other signs that proves otherwise such as technology, we still stuck to believe it "LOYALTY "

All of the sadden, people have taken this phrase for granted and have not complimented what makes us similar and appreciated what makes us different.

Five universty degrees in one Zambian cop

AN academic whirlwind has left Lusaka buzzing as Assistant Superintendent Dr. Honest Mudenda has notched up his fifth degree, this time in Law, creating ripples of awe and inspiration.

He was amongst the hundreds of graduands who graduated from the University of Africa Zambia at a colourful and well-attended graduation in the nation's capital at the magnificent KK wing at the Mulungushi International Conference Center this morning.

Known as the cop who never quits hitting the books, Dr. Mudenda boasts an illustrious academic journey that began in 2011 and hasn't seen a university door close behind him since.

From the hallowed halls of UNZA, NIPA, UNILUS, University of Africa to Cavendish, and even venturing into the Regional Police Academy in Zimbabwe, his thirst for knowledge knows no bounds.

The pattern of his qualifications is staggering - two bachelor's degrees, two master's degrees (Public Relations and Business Administration), a Ph.D. in Management, and a laundry list of diplomas and certificates.

He's not just a law enforcer; he's a part-time lecturer at UNZA, NIPA, and the Regional Police Academy, donning multiple hats as an entrepreneur and media personality.

But wait, there's more to Dr. Mudenda than meets the eye! Nicknamed "Doc Mude," he's the charismatic lecturer students adore, the author of digestible books, and the tough-as-nails cop who's quick to scowl at any wrongdoing.

His academic journey, stretching from Kalomo's Green Acres Basic School to a Ph.D. from Texilla University South America/Gideon Robert University, is a narrative of sheer determination.

As he contemplates diving into an LLB and MBA at once making it a fourth and fifth blow to academia, one can't help but wonder: which frontier will Dr. Mudenda conquer next?
