Requirements:

1) Must posses great communication and interpersonal skills as well as classroom management and arrangement skills.

Before the mid term break, we dedicated a day to health, personal hygiene, and self care! We believe this awareness should start early on in life. Lessons from hand washing, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, personal space cleanliness, etc are some of the important lessons that were emphasized through various presentations. We hope our Parents/Guardians will see some evidence that learning took place. Enjoy some random pics.

Tradition & Culture Day

Last week Friday, we were appreciating where we come from. Our learners dressed in their attires representing their tribes and cultures, and presented some poems and dances. We shared some Traditional foods too. We had a blast!! Some learners continued to bubble with excitement even after getting home 😃. A very special day indeed.

A big Thank you to our Parents for the support, and also to our staff for the work put into the preparations. On to the next one!

INTENSIVE READING PROGRAM

Given a reading task, do you notice how much confidence someone who is able to read fluently exudes? We do notice. For this reason, as Goldstone School we are big on our learners reading as early as possible. Not only learning how to read, but doing it with great poise. 1. HEAD TEACHER

The School is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the role of Head Teacher.

i) Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree in an Education related field.
-Considerable experience in Teaching, and managing teams.
-Requisite registrations with regulatory bodies.

ii) Attributes and Skills
-Polite, cordial and respectful to stakeholders (Parents/Guardians, School authority etc.)
-Passionate about kids’ learning.
-Positive attitude.
-Patient and willing to grow with the School.
-Abreast with latest teaching methods and keeping up to date with fresh trends that improve the learning experience.
-Innovative and adaptive.
-Team management skills.
-Very good Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
-Willingness to listen and learn.
-Eagerness to fully apply and contribute positively to the growth of the School.

iii) Duties and responsibilities
-Manage staff (Teachers and Helpers) of the School.
-Staff recruitment
-Ensure Teachers are performing all duties and responsibilities (schemes of work, class work, homework etc.) accordingly and excellently.
-Oversee all academic affairs of learners.
-Update School register with new enrollments and keep up to date payments, receipts and balances.
-Plan for each term’s activities/calendar.
-Implement innovative programs to enrich the learning experience of the learners.
-Liaise with all authorities (Ministries of Health and Education, Councils, etc.) that oversee education services.
-Receive prospects and clearly explain services offered by the school.
-Prepare (typing) of end of term test.
-Prepare printed class work.
-Communicate important information through circulars as often as necessary.
-Prepare necessary management reports.

2. EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER

-Early Childhood Teacher to take Reception Class.
-Relevant professional qualifications and affiliations are a must.
-Experience a definite advantage.

- Passionate about kids.
- Cordial and polite.
- Eloquent in English.
- Innovative.
- Modern in teaching methods
