You must take action now that will move you towards your goals. Develop a sense of urgency in your life.
You control your future, your destiny. What you think about comes about. By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in good hands your own.
If you're bored with life - you don't get up every morning with a burning desire to do things - you don't have enough goals.
If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.

Karate rules dictate that opponents compete for points in matches called kumite by scoring with clean, controlled, and powerful strikes to specific target areas.
A kick to the head is worth three points, a kick to the body is two, and a punch to the body or head is one. Points are also awarded for striking a downed opponent, with a maximum of three points for a follow-up attack after a sweep or takedown. Matches end when a competitor reaches an eight-point lead or has the most points when time runs out.
SCORING
🥋One point (Yuko): A punch to the head, face, neck, chest, abdomen, side, or back.
🥋Two points (Waza-ari): A kick to the body, back, or side.
🥋Three points (Ippon): A kick to the head or a strike on a downed opponent who has been swept or fallen.
WINNING THE MATCH
🥋A competitor wins by achieving an eight-point lead at any time.
🥋If no one reaches an eight-point lead, the competitor with the most points when the time runs out wins.
🥋If the score is tied, the winner is determined by the first point scored (Senshu).
If the match is a draw with no points scored, judges decide the winner.
🥋Fouls and penalties
Kicking the knee, spine, or back of the head is a foul.
🥋Striking or grabbing the throat is forbidden.
No contact is allowed with a grounded opponent, which includes stepping on, jumping on, or kicking them.
🥋Other rules
Competitors must wear protective gear, including a chest protector for females.
🥋The fight is overseen by a referee who stops the bout after a scoring technique is signaled.
🥋Judges, who are positioned around the ring, signal their agreement to award a point.
🥋After the match, competitors bow to show respect to the opponent, officials, and spectators.
🥋The match is stopped if a competitor is knocked down and cannot continue.

You can tell you are improving in karate by seeing how you perform techniques, measure progress through your instructor or belt rank, and noticing changes in your physical and mental capabilities. Look for improvements in specific skills like executing a difficult kick, a greater understanding of the underlying principles of movements, and a shift from focusing on winning to a more peaceful approach.
Physical and technical progress
Mastering difficult techniques: You can perform moves that were once challenging, like a specific kick or a sequence in a kata, with more ease and fluidity.
Improving flexibility and kicks: You can kick higher than before, indicating improved flexibility and core movement control.
Smoother, more dynamic kata: Your performance of katas becomes more dynamic as you understand the purpose behind each movement, rather than just mimicking shapes.
Stronger and more efficient movements: You demonstrate better power, speed, and mobility due to dedicated strength and conditioning, as well as a deeper understanding of body mechanics.
Mental and strategic development
Shifting your mindset: Your focus changes from simply winning or being the best to fighting for inner peace and control.
🥋Handling pressure better: You can keep a clear head during sparring and other high-pressure situations, a skill developed through consistent training.
🥋Increased awareness: You become more comfortable with being uncomfortable, as learning more reveals new areas for improvement and deeper understanding.
Objective measures
🥋Advancing in belt rank: Earning a new belt is a clear and official indicator of progress and skill development.
🥋Instructor feedback: Regular evaluations and feedback from your instructor provide a reliable assessment of your progress.
🥋Sparring results: You can tell if your techniques are effective in a live-action setting through sparring, where the emphasis is on learning and testing your skills rather than just winning or losing.

Bowing is a very traditional way of showing respect, self control and discipline in the martial arts. A proper bow comes from the heart, and is done out of honor and respect, not out of necessity or obligation.
The path of martial arts and in life begins and ends with courtesy so genuinely polite on every occasion. It is all about respect.
**Bowing in martial arts is a sign of respectful greeting, not a sign of submission or worship. It is all about respect **🥋🙏🥋

Karate discipline involves a holistic approach to self-improvement through physical and mental training, emphasizing self-control, respect, perseverance, and character development. It is cultivated through rigorous, repetitive practice of techniques like kihon (basics), kata (forms), and kumite (sparring), and is reinforced by a structured system of etiquette, goal-setting (such as belt progression), and rules within the dojo. This discipline extends beyond the training hall, helping practitioners develop focus, emotional management, confidence, and a strong work ethic that translates to other areas of life.
Self-control and focus: Students learn to control their impulses, stay focused during complex techniques, and manage frustration when challenges arise.
Emotional management: Karate teaches practitioners to remain calm, focused, and patient under pressure, which is a vital skill for handling stress and conflict.
